This is a review of the fine mesh colander. I was really counting on their "21.2 inch" maximum expanded length to be accurate because my sink is exactly 21 inches wide, and it was! It just barely fits my sink. I wish they went a bit wider but I haven't been able to find anything bigger.Luckily, the arms are sturdy enough that it doesn't bend and fall into my sink. The rubber on the handles prevent it from sliding and falling in as well. It's made from aluminum so it won't rust. I like that it has built-in feet to keep whatever is inside clean when you're rinsing with the colander set down in a sink.

It doesn't feel as sturdy as something more expensive, not quite as cheap as a dollar store product but...the packaging certainly has that kind of feel to it. I don't even know what to say...the choice of picture on the label along with the line, "spice up your kitchen," is just perplexing and more than a little off putting...

Bottom was caved in from crushing in shipping. Paper bag from a.maz0n, not a box. Second pic has purple straw to emphasize convexity of crush. Use a box, packing crew, the bags get crushed. The steel is a decent gauge/ thickness, really must have been crushed by lots of weight in shipping. I'm reading the item as delivered, the quality of materials feels really good, the spot welds held up under the crush, rubber is great, the feel of the perforated steel feels smooth in the basket, only slightly coarse on the outside. I bet I'll be happy if I can get one shipped in s box.

The hook for hanging or setting on the edge of a pot for draining seems like a good idea, but it interferes with the primary purpose of the strainer - it is hard to scoop everything out. Otherwise, this is a great tool.

This review is for the Tenta Tenta Stainless Steel Strainer Colander Basket with Green Handles.This is a nice colander to use to drain cooked foods, and to use to wash vegetables and fruits. The holes in the stainless steel strainer basket are very small, allowing liquid to flow freely, but preventing the food from going though. It can also be used as a sifter for dry items, such as flour and sugar. The handles have a firm rubber surface which makes it easy to grip. At first the handles were very stiff and hard to extend, but after just 2 uses, they loosened and were much easier to maneuver. This strainer does not collapse, only the handles are able to extend and collapse. Something to consider if you have limited space for storage.

Unlike the product photos, the wire used for the basket's spiral is not terminated properly at either end, and the wire is positioned in a way that you can easily stab your hand when washing or using it.

So far everything is sturdy
