Update: Wisualarm contacted me and were superb in there support of the issue. I understand errors in manufacturing can happen in any product , but its how you deal with it should be the final measurement, that is now why i now rate them from 1 star to 5.. well done Wiualarm support team !Bought these on 1st September 2024. Within 1 week, 1 off 3 decided to randomly go off, after this occurred 5 times decided to take it down, now on 29th November a 2nd one of the three (different location) has the same issue... so must be a manufacturing problem

Very easy to install and look very good

Small and surprisingly smart.

The smoke alarms arrived without the remote controls, but as I had sent them directly to my mum, I didn’t realise this until it was too late to return them.Also, one of the alarms has now stopped working. The battery is meant to last 10 years but this one has only lasted 6 months.I tried to get in touch with the company, but it isn’t possible. They are under warranty with Amazons policy, but that would mean uninstalling and sending back the 2 that are working and removing them from the ceiling which, as they were stuck to the ceiling with the supplied tape, would pull the paint off the ceiling. What I really want is just a replacement of the faulty one and the remote controls to be sent to me.The 2 that still work, work well and were easy to install, but I have to get a ladder out to test them due to the missing remote controls. My mum is 90 so is unable to do this on her own.

I know this isn't the main purpose of a smoke alarm but personally what I like most is the styling of these, they just look so much nice to me than the standard alarms I've always had, i like the exposed metal and the cute compact size.But aesthetics aside, they work, they are easy to put up with the adhesive pads that seem to hold well. All passed a match test and although I still have other brands around as a backup I'm somewhat confident these will pick up a real fire, though i hope that never happens for anyone.Can't really comment on battery life as I'm not waiting 10 years to find out but with regular testing as you should always do hopefully you'd catch anything if that's not true.Good value set, would recommend.

This pack of three smoke alarms gives good coverage for a medium sized house.Each alarm is quite small, around 8cm diameter and 5cm thick so they don't take up much space or become too obtrusive. The alarms come with adhesive pads to stick them in place, but you can also drill holes and fit them that way if preferred using the supplied screws and raw plugs. I like that these have a 10 year battery and I simply use a permanent pen to write the expiry date on the alarm mounting plate as a reminder.They sound a shrill alarm when the test button is pressed that will surely be loud enough to alert me even at night.

These smoke alarms are much smaller than are existing alarms measuring only about 8 cm in diameter and 5 cm high so will look much neater when fixed to our ceilings. They also have the benefit of having a 10 year battery which does not require to be changed periodically unlike our exiting alarms which operate using PP3 9 volt batteries.They can be mounted to the ceiling either using the self adhesive pads or screwed in, so are a doddle to install.Obviously they have not alarmed yet, but I have tested them using the button and they give off a loud shrill whistle and the red LED illuminates so we should have no problem in hearing and seeing them should an unfortunate event arise.From a pure safety point of view I would consider these to be good value and essential if smoke alarms are not already fitted.
