How do I get the cable inside the bottle the plug doesn’t come off to go through a hole that I drilled

The adaptor bottom fits tightly into the neck of the bottle with the cable resting on top. It doesn’t fit into the bottle. I hope this is of some help.

Does it unscrew to fit a lamp shade?

Yes, it unscrews at the black line. It was very easy to use, I just secured mine with a blob of glue at the neck of the bottle. Very pleased with it.

Will a screw in bulb work? As in E27 bulbs. Or is it bayonet?

It is only a bayonet fitting so a screw in bulb will not fit.

Does this Fit any size of bottle neck

I used it in a wine bottle. Not sure that it would fit any other size.
