Doing it this way also means I never need the plastic pusher... It works really well. I like that it has a reverse function in case something is not quite going through. I've used it a handful of times and had no problems. Easy to assemble. Easy to clean. Very useful for making single glasses of juice and saving time and space. The only thing I would say is you have to use a short glass as there's not a lot of height from the spout to the base. Sometimes getting a glass under there other than the plastic cup they supplied can need a little managing but it's not a set back to me.
