Useful and prevents to bend the neck, but can slightly robs on the upper chest ribs bones if not is covered by cloths to prevent it

A clever concept with a real world need, replacing much more cumbersome and unfortable solid neck braces with a more discrete but strong system - or so I hoped. The downside is the sizing. I measured myself 5x and came back as a Medium but on arrival I immediately realised that unless I undertook some tribal head shrinking, it wasn't going to fit. Non the less I tried it on & discovered I was right, I needed the size up. At almost £40 the brace is also rather expensive. Having seen & handled the product my quandary now is whether to return or to replace, as my good quality breathable soft brace provides equal support & is a quarter of the price. Delivery was slow, & exchanges even slower. Maybe future iterations will have clearer size options, accessibility to the market & be more affordable? Edit: So I ordered the large after the medium didn't fit, & on initial offering it up to my neck it would have slotted around Fattina Whitbread's inner thigh nicely, good grief what a size difference! 45 minutes of bending and fettling and I have a brace that semi-fits. • Is it clever and minimalistic? - yes. • Does it provide much support to genuine spinal patients - no. • Is it worth the price tag - no. • Do I feel safe / supported in it in public - no. A little more R&D and this could be a revolutionary product, but for now people - stick to the shaped foam or the hard NHS issue braces.

Fantastic, clean and comfortable collar with none of the drawbacks of traditional hard braces, such as hot in even slightly warm weather but especially the pain and damage to my collarbones. This revolutionary (dare I say it even looks "cool"?) approach to use modern materials in such careful and effective design is truly changing my life. I was injured as a passenger in a car crash way back in 1988 and so I have very long and painful experience of the old-style braces- it doesn't help that I'm very, very short 4ft 10" but this design allows me now to travel in comfort for the first time. Thank you!

Bought for a friend who says its a) uncomfortable and b) ineffective unless the velcro is so tight it chokes him. Wouldn't bother with this one.

I have used this for a whole year. It needed some adjustment to avoid pressure on the clavicle,ie bend ing, and the metal rods became loose from the plastic portion requiring repair and serious taping and glue. It can be disguised with a scarf

You know all those TV programs you saw where they were teaching the girls (usually girls) how to walk properly with books on their heads? This is like the modern day equivalent - really excellent for keeping your head and neck correctly aligned. You can't wear it for more than a short period at a time, but it is very effective.

I have cervical degenerative disc disease and have had trouble with my neck for years, resulting in muscle spasms. I have tried various neck braces with varying degrees of relief, but they are often uncomfortable, restricting, and hot. This is by far the best neck brace I've tried. If you are looking for total immobilization, this is not what you want. I can still turn my head from side to side and look up, but this prevents me from leaning my head forward. When wearing this I'm forced to hinge from my hips instead of curving my neck. So little of the brace is touching me that I find it much more comfortable than other braces. There is the velcro strap around the neck, the small area that rests against your breastbone, and the chin support which isn't always touching your chin. I didn't get that overly hot feeling that I get with other braces, although after wearing it for several hours the neck strap did begin to irritate me slightly.

If I had been able to return my purchase, I would not be writing. I am so disappointed! Zero returns policy! I was hopeful when I saw this product because I have to wear a hard C collar at all times to support my inoperable neck conditions. Collars are typically hot, so this looked like a good option. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! It doesn’t matter that this is very breathable, the bare metal frame, and chin rest are so rigid that they dig into the skin! My collar bone and jaw bone immediately were so uncomfortable that I had to remove the collar within seconds! I tried a few more times, but the pain is unbearable! Now I am stuck with a $50 neck brace that is useless! If they had taken a few minutes to consider comfort, and possibly wrapped their product in a shock absorbing, cooling material, they could have had a great product. Instead what they have is JUNK!
