FRESH -GPS- KUMQUAT 5 LBS.

I buy fresh kumquats in quantity every year for canning and these are by far the best quality I've ever received -- spanking fresh, many in whole bunches with fresh leaves still attached; large, unblemished, and perfectly ripe so that the fruit's natural sweet-tartness reminded me of why I love kumquats in the first place. In a 5 pound box there were only 3 mushy/overripe/damaged fruits! The packaging of shredded paper inside bubble wrap inside thick crumpled paper was great protection in transit and frankly a beautiful background to the fruit when I opened the box. Also, they arrived incredibly quickly, earlier than the Amazon estimate.

I ordered this less than a month ago. I read online you can freeze them. I did and yesterday I took them out and when it was thawed it was all mush. Now they're saying the warranty coverage for fruit has ended even though it hasn't been a month yet which is Amazons policy. I won't be ordering from them again. Yes I was wrong but 30 days means 30 days!

I needed to make some kumquat marmalade FAST so I ordered these admittedly expensive ones from CA. Ordered them yesterday with express shipping & they weren’t supposed to arrive until tomorrow, but here they are! They are GORGEOUS-I’m hard-pressed to find a single one I can’t use! And they were packed impeccably. Dig a little deeper in your pocket if quality matters above all else- they are SO worth it!

OK, so they are a bit pricey, however, there's just no substitute for a whole kumquat popped into your mouth.Update for 2021: wonderful quality fruit, yet again!

The fruit was layered with newspaper. The moisture from the fruit caused the packaging to be wet/damaged. The fruit was molded. After going through everything we were able to salvage about 50% of the 5 pounds of Kumquats. We will not order again.

Fresh, Ripe, Zesty and Prompt delivery. I love them.

The kumquats were OK but not as advertised. They were a bit soiled and very tart versus sweet.
