I had no idea that the Stanley 40 oz. insulted cup was a new cultural "thing" until I noticed a news item that mentioned they were even being stolen at stores! When I received my SipX cup in black that seemed to be a Stanley clone, it was listed at $50 which was even more than the Stanley offering so I was anxious to see what all the fuss was about. I go through periods of making a morning smoothie that I take in my car and consume on my 2 hour commute to work. I make my smoothies in a Vitamix and somehow always wind up making a larger quantity than intended. So a 40 oz. "cup" is a necessity. The insulated cup I used previously was high quality but unfortunately didn't have the optimal shape to fit in my awkwardly positioned car cup holder. It also doesn't have a handle so was challenging to hold while driving. This cup does seem well insulated and keeps my smoothies chilled as advertised. I've also filled it with iced water and was happy with its insulation as well. It has a longer base at its narrower part so does fit in my car holder better and more securely. The lid is simple which is appreciated and screws on with a small twist to keep it secure. There's just one hole in the lid with a silicone lining the straw slips through, so while not completely spill proof it seems sufficient. I hope the company will offer replacement lids in case that silicone wears or tears in time but for now works as intended. I'm happy to see that the product is less than half the price it was offered at when I received mine, a reduction of $50 down to just $22. At that price, I think its a screaming bargain and perhaps worth considering over other more established products now costing double the price. Recommended.

If you like to have a lot of bev on hand, and in truth, if you're looking at this item, you must... then this is definitely in your wheel house. At 40ozs, this container will carry you through the day, with a refill along the way if you're part camel (or just drink a lot.)The design is high and tight, excellent for bringing on the road and using in drink holders. At the same time, it will make a "fall from heights" almost inevitable along the way. Just part of the hazard, in the end.When I compared this to one of my top performers, I found it to equal or exceed it in maintaining a good, cool bev with little ice needed. I usually like a container like this for all-day and all-night use. I like a cool drink of water when I wake in the night, and I appreciate continual access to the same throughout the day. This does that all quite competently.For me, the only negative is the straw itself. It has a large diameter and with it being itself long, it requires quite the draw strength. This on top of the pressure placed within from the near-seal created in the lid will offer you a workout. It may loosen in time, as that seal ultimately flexes and breathes a bit more, but out of the gate, this thing is a guzzler. The other side of the coin is the "one trick pony" of it, being it has no other way to use it. These two things, large straw and no sip spout means that should anything happen here, the whole item becomes fairly useless.Oh, and seriously already, include a straw cleaner! Please don't sell a permanent straw container without this! Gross! In this case, you'll have to find a cleaning solution on your own. If you're a serious drinker, here, you'll probably already have a few.It's hard to find a perfect drinking tumbler, as almost all simply miss the mark here or there, and this is no exception. Still, is a solid offering, and if you don't mind the "negatives", I suspect you'll really enjoy this product.

I ordered this pretty stainless steel insulated tumbler to put in my Christmas 2024 box, where I keep items I've ordered for my sons' birthday and Christmas gifts. I swear, I was right on my way to put this in the box when my dog said I should keep it for myself, and I did. A woman should always listen to her dog.This is made of 18/8 stainless steel, free of BPA or any other toxins. It keeps cold drinks cold for 12 hours, hot drinks hot for six hours. I'm supposed to drink eight glasses of water every day, and if I drink it from this tumbler I only have to refill it once after I fill it up first thing in the morning.I love the handle on this insulated tumbler, which is easy to grip and much easier for me to use than a tumbler without a handle. This is 12.5" tall and comes with a lid and a straw, and the only drawback to this tumbler is that you can't drink from it without the straw, and I like lids with a drinking slot or a short mouthpiece that folds down when you aren't drinking from it. I do believe I'll live just fine with the straw.This 40-ounce tumbler is made of 18/8 stainless steel, free of BPA or any other toxins, and it's dishwasher safe. I only use mine for water or black coffee, so I don't put mine in the dishwasher too often. According to the seller, these last an average of 12 years and are obviously much better for the environment and for our health than plastic.I highly recommend this stainless steel insulated tumbler, which can be used for hot or cold drinks and is very easy to hold and drink from. I have quite a few insulated tumblers, and none of them are half as nice as this one. These would make excellent gifts.

This is a very nice, sleek looking water tumbler. It holds 40oz, but for some reason it doesn't look as bulky as some of its competitors. The stainless steel is high quality grade, and the seams where the handle attach to the body has a clean, smooth line. I've had others where the plastic handle was cut crooked, but not on this one. Very easy to clean, low maintenance, and fits in my car's cupholder perfectly. I do wish that they included an extra straw, but that's not a deal breaker for me. The straw fits snugly, so it's pretty leak proof. Keeps drinks cold and for a pretty long time. I do love the way that it looks, the stainless steel with the black handle, logo, and straw looks sharp. I have a lot of these types of tumblers, and this has to be one of my favorite looking ones. Overall very happy with it!
