Great recipes and useful health advice
I enjoyed this book and was glad that I purchased it. Lori includes some lovely basic family friendly recipes that aren't too time consuming to make. They have all the appeal of nice warm welcoming comfort food recipes, yet still remain healthy at the same time. It's nice to see realistic recipes from someone that has actually dealt with medical issues in the past and has strived to clean up their diet to heal and to provide their loved ones with proper nourishment as well. I also enjoyed reading her section on "Healthy Living" because it is such a breath of fresh air to hear someone else going against the grain of modern indoctrination and sticking to basic solid health advice and not what the media and big Pharma want you to follow through with: deadly vaccination cocktails, body damaging and life ending birth control, popping pills like candy to overcome a simple cold that do more harm than good in the long run etc.) The author is also very humble about working your way towards living healthier, and anyone that actually read the book would know that. It slays me how many women profess to be Christians but are living the exact OPPOSITE way that God intended for us as ladies. I absolutely love that she sticks to her guns about the basics of how a Christian woman should maintain herself. Apparently, that offends those that are guilty of disobeying the natural design that God gave them to the point of writing negative reviews on a book that they haven't even taken the time to read. I applaud her for her honesty that women should be at home taking care of her babies (however many that God decides to bless us with) and being the homemaker that we were intended to be. God bless you and your future endeavors to encourage fellow women and teach them in the way they should go while providing insightful advice for healthy living.

An Excellent Resource
I highly recommend Mrs. Alexander's book. She covers many topics in a helpful and informative way. Since books can, and have, been written on each topic she covers, she lists other resources for further study. Much of her knowledge was gleaned from dealing with her own significant health issues. She is interested in learning root causes of ailments and diseases, rather than popping pharmaceuticals to mask symptoms and inflict side effects. I am stymied how 1-star reviewers concluded that Mrs. Alexander "shames" women, other than they haven't actually read the book. For example, in her brief section on breastfeeding, Mrs. Alexander states that breast milk is the perfect food for babies. This isn't a controversial statement, nor does she demean women who don't. Accusations of "shaming" seems to have become a tool to discredit those with whom you disagree. There is much good information, and good recipes, in this book and it is offered at an excellent price.

Don’t Forget to Edit Before You Publish
Lori has published yet another book where she passes judgement on anyone different than her and gaslights people into believing that she never said women should be perfect. Maybe she didn’t say the words but she definitely gives off the vibe.I paid for the book and tried to read it. The missing directions, bad cooking advice (cooking ground beef, adding onions, and cooking for an additional 15 minutes is the recipe for charcoal not chili), and neglected editing are embarrassing for a published book.Lori will be donating the proceeds from her book to Birth Choice. Since I don’t like that I had to give money to her or her cause, I made additional donations for ten times the amount of the Kindle price to the Center for Reproductive Rights (which supports all women seeking reproductive care) and Dress For Success (where my donation will provide a set of scrubs for a woman in the healthcare profession). These organizations support women that Lori harms with her teaching.

Practical and full of information.
The book has a feel of a friend giving you her favourite recipes. Also it has a lot of information on nutrition and some great points on how important proper nutrition and how women are in control of our health and our families. There is a lot of topics that she touches and gives you room to do your own research on.
