Stylish and incredibly lightweight!
What surprised me the most straight out of the box was how light this thing is! Ive only owned cheap, basic helmets and when picking this up I was convinced it was made of paper mache! Unbelievably lightweight!I also think it looks amazing! The back of the helmet reminds me of a sports car! Its a shame the light doesn’t come built in on these and when Ive searched to purchase one they are currently priced at £200!!! I don’t think so!! haha!Placing it on my head I was a little worried as I have a huge noggin! It fit perfect without adjustment but if you do need to tighten it up you simple twist the knob at the back of the helmet. Really easy to do and no clumsy clips to fiddle about with before placing it on your head! The chin straps feels like it could be a little wider as I found it a little uncomfortable compared to my racing helmets thicker (and slightly sponged for comfort) under chin straps. Maybe thats an unfair comparison but the price difference between the two isnt far off and for me it needs to be comfortable.I havent tried it with sunglasses as I rarely ride with them on but from testing without, I don’t see there being an issue. To sum up, this helmet looks amazing! I especially love the back of it! Very streamlined and cool. Its advertised as very tough and without being ran over I cant comment but for the weight of this thing, then if thats true then this is incredible! Its really easy to adjust it to make it comfortable on your head and the chin strap is fastened up. Compared to my cheap helmets this is in another league. From a novice bike rider this is definitely recommended.

Nice design
At the time I ordered this it said the colour was black and then they did not fulfil this and sent out a different colour, I'll comment only on the design and say it's nice, I like that they make it look and feel premium compared to a standard helmet, and although a major let down that they didn't include the light, they give the option for it to be mounted.

Featherweight premium tech
Comes in a large nice box with paper scuff protection cover the main unit. Its....crazy light. Literally feels like what your holding isnt whats in your hand. The ones i tried on the high street inshops never felt like this and it was a pleasant suprise.Theres a mounting option on the back with a tag to the buckle to really push the sale of this but its not something i looked into.As someone with a "melon head" i have to say this is bigger than my head so plenty spacious. Theres a ratchet you rotate on the back that tightens it and after a good 12hours of use...still feels fine. I do have a red line from use though so if your a baldy like a me a beanie or something might be worth noting (and with one on it stayed secure and tight).

Worst head gear I’ve worn
I’ve had cheap construction helmets that are more comfortable than this. I’ve had many different helmets in my life and this is far the worst one I’ve experienced. The boa latch on rear have no padding or wide enough area to cup the back of your head. Instead it’s a thin strap that feels like the helmet will fall off during a crash even if you fully secure it to your head because sits like your wearing a thin headband but instead of elastic it’s plastic. They spent all their money on design but not functionality.

Looks great, but the fit adjustment cradle is fragile, and the front straps sit to wide.
Sizing:This helmet is going to work best for round heads, or slightly wider than round heads. If you're wider front to back than side to side, the fit may be problematic if you're on the upper end of a size. With that said, this helmet fits me like a glove. My head is almost perfectly rounded and I'm a 59CM in exact size.Plastic adjustment cradle:The rear plastic adjustment cradle is fragile. The first helmet I was sent showed up with the cradle broken in two places. The replacement I was sent is much the same. When I attempted to extend the cradle down (there's an additional slot to do this), it didn't want to extend. Knowing how fragile the cradle is, I was very careful and took my time. Eventually I was able to get the cradle extended, but in doing so, a small piece snapped. The piece that snapped won't affect safety or performance so I kept this helmet, but this cradle is definitely made of brittle, inflexible plastic.Long-term, I'm at least moderately concerned that part of the cradle may crack if I do something as simple as lay it down too roughly. This is absolutely something Lumos should be fixing in the future, especially at the mid to high level price points their helmets go for.Straps:When perfectly adjusted, the open strap ends on the left side, are not uniform in length or even close. So, the rubber strap that fits over the end of the open straps doesn't completely stop them from flapping around.Another issue with the straps, are the front straps. The front straps sit wide, and aren't flush to the side of the face. So, if you're like me, and wear your sunglasses over the straps, which is standard, sunglasses fit very poorly. In the end, I had to end up wearing my sunglasses under the straps, which I don't do with any other helmet I own.Sunglasses:This helmet definitely works best with sunglasses that aren't oversized. If you have sunglasses that are not only oversized in width, but also height, they'll be unlikely to fit well.Aesthetically:From a pure looks standpoint, this helmet looks great! It's very streamlined in overall fit.Bottom line:For a helmet at this price point, it shouldn't have the issues it has. The rear cradle shouldn't be so fragile that someone is constantly afraid they'll break it. The plastic is far too brittle, and inflexible. This is absolutely something Lumos needs to rectify long-term.The front straps sit too wide, and I doubt most seasoned cyclists will appreciate that, considering the majority wear their sunglasses over the straps. So, while I absolutely love the look of this helmet, it's not something I would purchase, or one that I will be using very often. This is a helmet I'll wear at night, on casual rides.3 stars
