I ordered this Il Salone Milano Professional Magnificent Shampoo for Color Treated Hair because I was looking for a shampoo that would be gentle to my dry, wintertime hair.This time of year, my hair tends to get dry from the winter cold and the effects of radiator heat in our house. I’ve applied a couple deep conditioning treatments that helped a lot, but I wanted to find a gentle shampoo.My hair isn’t color treated, but I’ve found in the past that shampoos for color treated hair work well and are hydrating and conditioning. I have to admit, I was also intrigued by the sales page, which said the shampoo smelled like nutmeg. That sounded like baking, very homey. It made me curious enough to order.So I have to say, I don’t know if I can smell nutmeg in this shampoo or not. It also has walnut extract and almond oil, and I’m not sure if I smelled almond or walnut. I will say, however, that this shampoo smells so great!Il Salone Milano shampoo smells incredible. It has that rich salon scent. I don’t like overpowering scents, and this is too heavily scented, but it just smells clean and deep and salon-y. It’s a complex, pleasant scent, and it stays in my hair through day 2 of a shampoo, and it just makes me take deep breaths so I can enjoy.This shampoo is made in Italy, it seems to have a British distribution of some sort, and it’s sold in the USA through a company in Florida, according to the bottle. I like the Italian pedigree. I visited the Il Salone Milano store on Amazon, and saw that they have a full line of hair care products, including conditioners, shampoos, and hair dyes. They’ve been making hair care products for thirty years and they say their products are vegan and salon quality.Definitely this shampoo left my hair looking shiny and soft like I had just been to the salon. This shampoo lathers up quickly, the suds are thick. It rinses clean easily.With curly hair, it’s important for me to get all the shampoo out of my hair, which loves to drink it in. If I don’t get a good clean rinse, my hair gets weighted down. Some salon-style products are too heavy for my hair, or are hard to rinse away. This shampoo worked well—a small amount, somewhere between a dime and quarter size in my palm made enough lather to cover all my hair, and it rinsed out squeaky clean.I could see a definite change in my hair. My hair is long and curly, it frizzes in heat and humidity and it can get frizzy in winter as well. After using this shampoo, my hair looked sleek, without fly away frizz.The shampoo came in a 16.9 ounce bottle, plenty to last me a a good long time.Il Salone Milano shampoo is made in Italy. Lathers nicely, rinses well, smells incredible. I can’t speak to the color protecting qualities, as I don’t dye my hair, but the shampoo left my hair looking silky and shiny.

when i first started dying my hair, it was fading so quickly with my regular shampoos. i switched to this and its made the color last MUCH longer, weeks even months using this after dying my hair and the color still looks great. only downside is sometimes when it arrives it’s leaked all over the packaging, that def could be improved. but as for the shampoo itself, it works great.

I have been coloring my hair for as long as I can remember, so I like finding shampoos that are specifically for color-treated hair that won't strip my color. This shampoo leaves my hair smelling nice, feeling soft, and looking healthy. The shampoo itself smells nice without the scent being overpowering. It lathers up nicely. My color has seemed to fade slower using this. An added bonus is that it's only a fraction of the price of salon products. I would order it again.

This shampoo is surprisingly effective for my hair, and affordable at the same time. The consistency is a bit watery, I have a lot of hair, and normally greasy scalp. Not sure if because of the hard water at my place, but I didn't get a good lathering until I did my second round in the shampooing process. However, once the foam is activated, it was really pleasant and it cleansed my scalp very well. Also, this product smells amazing.After showering, my hair feels super lightweight and noticeably shiny. I did use the corresponding hair mask and leave-in conditioner from same seller.The bottle displays the expiration date, I like that. I didn't like that it did not come sealed, though there was no leakage.Overall, for the price, this one is a great choice for me.

I am very impressed with this shampoo, so much so that I got the matching conditioner and leave-in spray too. I do not have color treated hair but it behaves like color treated hair due to the amount of time I spend in the sun and sea. I learned years ago to use good hair care products if I want my hair to stay long and healthy. This shampoo has a light scent, not at all overpowering, I like it. It is not a thick consistency yet a little goes a long way, and I have long hair. It lathers nicely and rinses easily. My hair felt like I was rinsing conditioner out of it, it felt that smooth. I can't wait to pair it with its matching conditioner and leave-in spray!

This shampoo works great for my hair and leaves it soft and smelling amazing. The price is very affordable compared to other products in the marjet.

This shampoo made for colored hair works very nice for me. It has a light pleasant scent that doesn’t linger afterwards. It lathers up well and leaves my hair feeling soft and shiny. I have never heard of this brand before, but have enjoyed it enough that I will look at some of her other products as well. I think it works as well as products they sell in the salon, but at a much better price.

Il Salone Milano Magnificent Shampoo is one of several products I ordered from this brand. All have been five star products and smell wonderfully. The shampoo is pearlized in appearance and lathers well. My hair is left cleansed but not stripped.I notice it’s not sulfate-free which hasn’t been a problem for me but may be a consideration for those with color-treated hair.The products in this line are reasonably priced and of good quality.
