Great For Keeping My Hedgehogs Warm
I first started using Zoo Med Heat Lamp bulbs in March of 2012. I have two different brands of heat lamps one is a Zoo Med Deluxe Dimmable Clamp Lamp with 8.5-Inch Dome, Black model and the other is a similar model without the dimmer switch made by Fluckers, that I purchased at a local pet supplies store. Heat bulbs in both units remain on 24/7. Over the last year I've used two bulbs in the Fluckers unit. Each lasted me about six months. I've just had to replace the heat bulb in the Zoo Med Dimmer Lamp. I have the dimmer switch turned down a bit so the bulb isn't getting full power. Both of their cages keep a temperature between 72 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter months and 78 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months. I rely a lot on these bulbs and so far they've done their job for longer than expected. Very happy with them.

Not Very Good, But Somewhat Useful if You Absolutely Need a Compact Self-Contained Portable Battery-Powered Automatic Sprayer
Update: In my first review two days ago, I had given this unit 2 stars. However, 22 hours after I put the unit into service, the already-weak and feeble pump which drives the spray/mist nozzle died completely, and there was nothing I could do to ressurect it, short of ripping apart the unit and rebuilding it with a new pump. Amazon has already authorized me to return the now-dead unit for a complete refund. So, I have reduced the star rating of my review from 2 stars to one star. As I had noted earlier, and as numerous other reviewers have noted, both the design and construction of these units are extremely poor, and the units are very unreliable. This is a very low-quality unit. I recommend that you DO NOT buy one! ~~~~~ my earlier review from 2 days ago: ~~~~~ I recently bought this latest version of this Zoo Med Misting Machine here on Amazon;. I had bought an earlier version of the same model back in 2003, and kinda hated it, because it was so cheaply designed and built, and because the "mist" from the single onboard nozzle was not much more than a dribble of water droplets, and it certainly never emitted anything resembling a true mist or even a true spray. I ended up throwing that earlier version of the unit away after a month or two, because it was so ineffective. The manufacturer claims that they have since re-designed the unit and that they have also upgraded the pump to a quieter and much more powerful version. My experience with the latest version is that it is considerably better than the original 2002-2003 version in terms of pump power and strength of the spray stream, but the stream is still rather laugahable, as it certainly would not qualify as a mist, and not really even as much of a spray. To give you an example, a single spray squeeze of a simple and inexpensive hand-held manual spray bottle of the type that is usually sold at a hardware store for less than $3 will deliver, in one squeeze, a spray that is 15 times finer (in terms of droplet size), 20 times as powerful, and that reaches at least 8 times farther than the spray from this misting machine.. In fact, the spray from the nozzle of this so-call mister, which is not a mister at all, but rather a feeble spray machine, reaches only a few inches, and if you try using the 2-nozzle extender hose/nozzle set that is provided with the unit, the performance of each of the two nozzles drops even further, simply because the pump is so underpowered and ineffective. I am thinking of ripping apart my unit and replacing the pump with a 6 volt DC automotive windshield washer pump. Bottom line is that this unit is not very good, simply due to the very weak and downright feeble spray stream, but it is somewhat useful if you absolutely need a compact and entirely self-contained portable battery-powered automatic sprayer, as did I for my current application. While this unit also will operate off 120 VAC using the 120 VAC to 6 VDC power adapter included in the box, I bought it because it will also operate off 4 C-size alkaline cells, and I needed the device to be totally independent of AC power for use in an outdoor setting. About the only positive thing that I can say about this device, aside from the fact that it is compact and self-contained (at least when operated on the 4 internal C cells), is that the pump motor in this newest edition is extremely quiet.

Awesome
It made a great science and economics project for both my daughter and I. After bashing it into tiny pieces to get it open to find out what was wrong with it immediately after receiving it, we got the primary guts to work without all the clutter of the outer body. What a waste of money as a product, but a great lesson in science, engineering and electronics. This is not our first ReptiRain. Our previous unit worked for 2 years. oh well, back to the manual spray bottle.

Great for Geckos and Dry Climates
I bought this to use for an eyelash crested gecko because I live in a very dry climate where humidity is around 30% at best and in order to keep up humidity I'd have to spray the enclosure every couple of hours which doesn't work out if you have to work and no one can do it for you. I set this to spray 15seconds every 3hrs during the day and 30second every 3 hrs and night and it works perfect to keep humidity between 60-80%. I use bottled water rather than tap because tap can reduce the life span, but it's not an issue really since a you can buy a jug of bottled water for less than a dollar. I only have to refill this maybe twice a week. I also spray a heavier mist in the morning and evening with a hand sprayer. As another reviewer said about this spraying a course spray, you will have to adjust the nozzle for it to produce a finer spray which is what I did and it's great because it provides moisture and drinking water for my gecko who likes to drink off leaves. The only complaint I have about this is it can be loud, especially if this is in your bedroom. My gecko doesn't seem to mind it though. Also be sure to keep food bowls away from spray-range. Not sure how long this will last but there is a 1 year warranty if something happens and I've heard people don't have an issue with the manufacturer replacing the unit. I also got this in 2 days free shipping with my amazon prime membership :) free for students for a year!

After 7 (seven! ) years, the motor on ...
After 7 (seven!) years, the motor on my Habba Mist finally died. I've used it on and off, when on vacation, and in summer, when it's hot. I also used it with regular water (because I was forgetful). It's a sprayer, not a mister, which is what I needed. The reservoir is on the small side if you want to run it often over multiple days. Price has gone up by 15 dollars since I bought it. The Reptile Fogger is cheaper, but you have to get your own timer. So the Monsoon RS400 is the other competing product. Considering the fiddling you seem have to do to make it work properly, I am going to get another Habba Mist.

defective reptirain
well i got one that was defective because the pump was messed up and all the water was leaking out. so i called zoo med and they sent me a new one. it also had a broken pump. frustrated, i called again. so the only reason i dont give this zero stars is because they have really great customer service. the lady said she'd personally pull one off the shelf and check to see if it works herself. and she was going to have it sent out in a day. so im hoping this new one will be working. to conclude, maybe just dont buy this product because its too much of a hassle if you get a defective one. or two in a row...

Close but could have been better
Well when I received this in the mail I had high hopes the nozzle they provide didn't work well so I swapped it out with a nozzle from a mist bottle that helped to disperse the water a little better than just a stream but if you're looking to mist this will not do the job the pump is just not strong enough they should have done a little more research on the power of the pump needed to give you what the product calls itself Habba "MIST" After 3 days I noticed that the water that it sprays onto my plant and glass for my reptiles dried up quickly but it was making a lake under the Repti- Bark so I took it out and bought a waterfall which is much better the waterfall keeps the humidity up just have to make sure it does not run dry hope this helps you make your choice

This is a great misting system by zoo med
This is a great misting system by zoo med. it's easy to set up and install and it works great. It is especially effective if you have a reptile that must constantly get Boyster into their enclosure through missing or dripping. The Spicket's on the system are highly adjustable and go anywhere from a fine mist to a drip. It has multiple settings that allow you to select the duration of the spray and how many times per day or what intervals you wish it to be disbursed. It also takes away the guesswork of you having to remember to mist your reptile enclosure when you were doing it by hand. I highly recommend this item.

Viene dañado. Tiene fugas. Es el segundo que voy a cambiar. También tiene fugas.
Tiene una fuga el recipiente. Voy a devolverlo. Es el segundo q cambiaré. A este le faltó además un chupón para sostenerse. El último que compré (tercero) ya no sirve después de 3 meses, la bomba dejó de servir.

I'd get another
Dont use the suction cup version, but it did stick to the tank and was one hell of a pain to get it off ... so I'd say suction power is good. BUT! With regards to the rest... it has a good mist, I'm doing two terrariums, one nozzle per tank and it does a good job. Keep an eye on the water level, pretty much have to fill it up every day. Good bang for your buck, I figure
