Works better than expected
Short story: I plugged it in, and it worked perfectly.Continue reading for the whole story:I found this model because it was priced in what I considered "the upper side of the bottom end" compared to most popular name brands, most of which come in at over $100, some over $200. I only plan to use it occasionally, not make a living with it if you know what I mean. I kept coming back to it. Honestly, I think it was because of the orange color, but maybe it was because it had the best review to price point; I still haven't been able to confirm which. Then it came, and I unboxed it, and the instructions were right on top. All 16 pages of them! This is by far the absolute best set of instructions I've ever received for anything I've ever bought on Amazon! Unfortunately, or fortunately, I guess, I only really needed 2-3 of them. And "need" isn't really the correct word, nor were the instruction pages I used actually for the capture device; they actually have the setup procedures for both OBS Studio and POTS Player with screenshots, so that's a huge bonus for anyone not an expert user of those software packages.I've been using it for a week straight now, and I'm still smiling. Great price, check, plug and play, check, provided the advertised resolutions and sound quality, check check, good instructions (including screenshots, proper English, wiring diagrams, troubleshooting steps, contact info), check, check, and check. Speaking of contact info, I DID NOT attempt to contact them. There was no need to, but given the care put into the instructions, I suspect they'd reply promptly. If you read this far, this is the capture card you want to buy.

Great for this price point!
I'm hands down, Shocked with the quality of this Capture Card with it being at this price point. I needed to replace my old one that a friend stole from me, and since funds are kind of tight right now I couldn't get what I truly wanted to but was interested in giving this a chance since it had so many good reviews.I'll start by saying that's it's true, this is a good product for beginners, it's very straight forward to use. If you can plug a webcam into your device then you can use this with no problems, you don't need to have experience with video capture devices or extensive technical expertise to understand how to use it. All you have to do is plug it in via USB to your computer and it will acknowledge it as if you plugged in a webcam. Then whatever platform you are using you'll be able to use this as long as they acknowledge webcams. (Such as Facebook Live, YouTube, TikTok, Video Conferencing and any other Live Streaming platforms you like.)For this price point I truly didn't think I would like it as much as I do, the gaming experience is very smooth and there's no noticeable lag time during the recordings. The video's are sharp, with a high quality.

FIX FOR AUDIO (including DOUBLE PLAYING)
So I have seen reviews that state that how I fixed both audio not playing and the double playing audio.1.) audio not playingA: You will have to unplug any output audio that is connected to the device directly to the console, I was freaking out on why my audio wouldn't play and it turns out my USB headphone dongle for my wireless actually STOPPED the audio from outputting to your capture card cause your console doesn't support audio splitting and would just play out a single device aka your headphones/speakers. So, unplug everything that can output audio which would be your speaker and headphones to have it run through the HDMI port.2.) Audio is double playingA: I put in a photo, turns out you don't use WaveOut for your audio output mode like what the instructions tell you to, which IN-FACT is the delay audio, you just use capture audio only which doesn't give audio delay at least to what I can tell for my setup.

Easy setup nice hardware and software quality
Product came really fast and worked perfectly. I’ve been looking for a video capture card for years and went through 4 different ones but this one finally worked for my laptop. The latency is completely perfect no lag at all and the video was clear and sound was great. I used OBS and at first couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t showing up but I researched somewhere that you have to make sure the privacy settings for your webcam is turned off because OBS treats the device like a webcam. Once I got that done, I finally get to upload my Nintendo Switch game to YouTube. Just make sure you have an extra HDMI cable laying around and you should be good to go…

Portable, high quality video, and does the job!
Been needing one of these for my switch! It connects well, recognized, and easy to use! Love the size but also feels sturdy and that’s because it is packed with 4k power. The quality is super clear and well with no lag! Finally a good capture card for my switch !

Definitely lives up to its cheap pricing
Not a fan of this capture card. Don't recommend even for starting out. The inputs are loose no matter how neat you make your set up, the cords can't comfortably fit and not cause issues. Doesn't even allow headset audio to pass through.

Not best if you like console PLAYING 2k/4k at 120hz
Passthrough is 4k30. You can run up to 60fps OUT at 1080p. So as soon as you plug your console in, you can run 4k60 but you may have limited functionality. Using my 1080 monitor, I had a full 1080/120 on Series X but PS5 was 1080/60 on my monitors allowance. Once you directly plug your console into your monitor, it should unlock up to 4k120 if your monitor allows it. My 2k monitor allows 1440/120. WITHOUT this card and 1440/60 WITH the card. Never mind streaming. You're basically wasting your money on a higher "quality" monitor if you buy 2k or 4k and also want to use this capture card. There's no basic homework involved. If you're buying this 1080 gameplay, it's an amazing device. I just wanted you all to know it's a kinked waterhose with any monitor higher than 1080p.
