Retractable covers are compatible. Folding and hinged covers are not and will need to be removed. Roll-up covers less than 6" high are compatible if tent is placed over the cover, if more than 6" we suggest to remove the cover. **Q: Can you fit the tent over a truck bed toolbox?** A: Yes. Place tent over toolbox to minimize amount of water that could enter between the box and the tent. We recommend covering corners of toolbox to protect tent from ripping on sharp edges. I bought it mid-summer 2023 and have used it 5 or 6 times. I read lots and lots of reviews on multiple truck bed tents. The two things that stood out to me were material quality and rain fly. This was the only truck bed tent in this price range that had a rain fly. Oddly enough I haven’t had to use the rain fly yet. As far as tent materials, they’ve been solid and great. The tent is super easy to set up. All of the zippers work well. The mesh windows keep the mosquitoes out, which is appreciated. I’ve set it up multiple times just myself, but also with my 6yr. old son and as well as 10yr. daughter. It goes up pretty quickly, about 10 minutes. It sleeps two fully grown adults comfortably, with room to spare, pending how long your truck bed is. The universal fit, fits my 2004 Toyota Tundra full cab just great, with even a little room to spare on the inside, but it tightens up really well on the outside. Many reviews spoke of concerns with the tent poles. My experience, yes they were tight to start with, but just be careful and don’t rush it. Remember you want a stiff and tight tent, not a saggy one. After multiple uses the poles have gotten a little easier to put in. One of the reasons I bought this tent was so I could travel to farther away trailheads, sleep near that trailhead off of a forest road and then get a nice early start. No complaints and I love this tent.
