Great tool!
I actually look forward to using this tool for my orchard and overgrown shrubs! It’s light, efficient, powerful, versatile and the battery (s) life is several hours. I bought a battery pole saw five or six years ago from a different manufacturer and it performed well with the exception of the single supplied battery. It was not possible to get another spare and the unit just quit recently. New batteries are greatly improved now and even charge much faster. This setup is wonderful with an extra battery, chain, bar, bar cover and even a carrying case. Even if I just get a few years use out of this saw it will be a great value for the $. Makes all the minor trimming I have to do annually quick and easy. Limits my time on a ladder. Very little leakage with the bar oil reservoir, my other was awful. My only criticism is the instructions. Although I think every effort was made by the supplier I think doing instructions to a different language would be a problem for me also. It appears the chain must be fed bar oil manually by pressing the push button on the top and it’s not automatic like all other chain saws I have or have used. Chain seems to run dry often but time will tell. They supply contact info that I seldom ever get around to however. Great buy regardless. Glad I found this battery tool to add to my collection of battery tools that are so easy to use.

Just about perfect
I never thought I'd say it was a joy to use a chain saw. This little thing rocks. Light, powerful, long battery life. My first session with this was about 5.5 hours on and off, mostly on. Except for felling the tree (9.5x12" oval at the cut), and then cutting the trunk, every other cut was made with this little 6" blade. (when you see the little 6" bar, you may think you will be disappointed...you will not) The big cuts were made with a horrible Ryobi saw, but was big enough to cut the trunk. Battery dies per each 7-10 minutes of use. Meanwhile this little Jovant plugged away for the entire 5.5 hours on one battery (maybe 1 hour total break time...for the saw...not for me...in 95 degree/100% humidity...not for me...for the saw.) This tree was about 28-32' tall, maybe 20' diameter foliage. I cut more of the leafy twigs/branches off than necessary because...it was just fun to use. Just smoothly slices through it all - the little 3/4" - 1" sticks, up to the (larger than recommended) 3" - 6" diameter branches you see in the second photo. Before felling the tree, I cut the lower branches with the pole attachment, which also works flawlessly. A couple days later, I cut a bunch of low hanging branches so I can get under with my tractor/bush hog - maybe 2 to 2.5 truckloads full - oaks, sweetgums, etc, all with the pole attachment...a couple times with it extended to max length. It is a bit more touchy, because you have the weight of the pole on the saw, so it may seem to bog or bind. That is you, needing to hone your technique...not the saw. Let the saw do the work. With the pole attached you may need to focus on keeping weight OFF the saw, and don't twist your wrist. Once you do that, it works perfectly. Its so nice to use, you can forget to push the bulb to keep the chain and bar lubed. Don't forget...push the bulb to keep the chain and bar lubed. Check the oil level regularly, and of course, keep some chain oil on hand. It doesn't seem to leak oil when stored(as does the aforementioned Ryobi) as long as you keep it oriented "upright" such that you can read the oil level thru the see through site glass (plastic). Also, this nor any small saw can cut well thru spanish moss...it just wraps around the blade, bunches up, and one time, made the chain slip off the bar. Again, my bad...but the thing is easy to take apart, remove the moss, reassemble) So, move the moss outta the way before making your cuts. For stuff on the ground with spanish moss where I need to cut, I just keep my machete in left hand, chain saw in right. If its about 1" or less, just machete-whack it (keep yer machete sharp). If its more, I use the machete to move/cut the moss away, then cut w/chainsaw. Its more efficient, plus you feel like bad, bad LeRoy Brown wielding both those things in the sweltering heat. Just be careful of where your arms and legs are as relates to path of saw and blade, of course. Admittedly, only about 8 hours total on it, but it still performs as new. We'll see if it holds up as well as a real Makita, but so far, for the price, (even regardless of price) far exceeded my expectations. I don't normally "fan boy" out on a product like this, but absolutely recommend without reservation.

The tool has everything you need.
I decided to buy one to trim my 20-25 ft maple tree. I like the fact that it’s battery operated which is so light, compared to the gas powered one I rented at Home Depot before which was very heavy and hard to use. It comes complete in a vinyl case: a retractable pole, cutter with chainsaw, 2 rechargeable lithium batteries, a charger, a small bottle of lubricating oil, and a replacement chain. It cuts easily on branches up to 3 inches. But it works okay for thicker branches, except that the chain will bind and becomes loose more often when you attach the cutter onto the retractable pole. Other than that, it’s working fine, easy to use, and versatile.

Saved thousands of dollars and no men required!
Instructional video: 2 videos in one showing eas of use and how easy it is to attach a new blade (helpful since you'll want to clean out debris before you put it away (side note i did not remove the battery while I did this but you definitely should just to be safe) Amazing, cuts great through the 4 to 5 inch branches I cut, probably can handle larger. Tge batteries came charged so much that after trimming an entire tree in my yard its still not drained (the aforementioned tree is in the pictures). Easy to use, easy to change the blade/change, has a spot for oil tp go into, comes with 2 extra chains. 0 regrets, this is an amazing find. Perfect size for the handheld I used, and tge pole seems pretty sturdy, i just haven't used it yet. Additional info: The batteries didn't just last long to drain them, they also last quite a while after I fully charged them. It was about 45 mins to an hour of battery life each from full.charge to dead, amd they only take anout 30 mins to fully charge, makes it easy to finish a job without stopping since it comes with 2. The chain is very easy to change out as well (still on my first chain but I wanted to test it). This purchases will save me thousands in the long run considering how much tree trimmers charge. Edit after use: I upload a video of how well this cuts through a fairly thick branch, and I shot it myself so I was using it with one hand (safetly of course). I also wanted to show how thick the weeds entrangeled in my tree are so I also included a couple pictures of the stump of weeds im working on as well as the bottom of one of those very large stump pieces. To give a better idea the pictures ive uploaded are only from working on that tree 2 times, I wish I could have shown a before pictures as the entire tree was at least 5ft back on my roof before I trimmed. The batteries alone are worth the price of this tree trimmer, but the performance is without equal.

Don’t hesitate to buy this one.
My new favorite tool. Unbelievable deal for something that works so well. I’ve used this more than anything else this year. So nice and convenient for cutting up small trees. And it’s unbelievable how long the battery lasts. I wish everything I bought would be like this tool. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

Works Better than I Expected
This works better than I expected. I really do not trust the oiler (is it automatic, who knows?), so I also spray motorcycle chain lube on the chain. The pole extends farther than I expected. It is not a long chainsaw bar, but cuts well for minor hardwood limbs, or even larger limbs on pines. Looks like interchangeable batteries with similar Chinese tools. The instructions are better than most, but do leave some things out, like is it an automatic chain oiler? Can I use chainsaw bar oil? Nice carrying case.

Great product/excellent customer service
I wasn't sure about this saw from the description , but for the price, I decided to try it. It came with far more than I anticipated with the saw, the extension pole, a battery charger, two battery packs, two cutting chains and a bag to organized it all in. Very well designed. I cut trees all the time for firewood with a large chainsaw and although this saw is not designed for heavy duty work, it is very well suited to trim branches and small limbs. I cut ten or fifteen branches in the first 5 minutes and had no issues at all. The chain tensioner is easy to use and designed better than many large chain saws. The largest branch I cut was about 3 1/2" in diameter. I would not use this saw for cuts much bigger than that but found it perfectly suited to anything smaller. I am looking forward to eliminating all those annoying branches that hit me in the face while mowing. I mow about ten acres of tree lined property so eliminating the need to climb a ladder to get to those branches may actually be a life saver. I have had multiple chainsaws over the years and was very impressed with the design and function of this compact saw and extension rod. Definitely worth the price. I will be looking at their other tool offerings in the future

A ho th knife through butter !.
Great pole saw , cuts through 4” oak like a hot knife through butter , it’s well made and easy to use , at full extension it takes a little practice, as it will kick a little till you find the sweet spot but then it’s very effective, some people mention an oil seepage problem, I haven’t had an issue , the battery life is excellent, I used the saw for around four hrs and it was still going , all in all a great purchase, and great value for money.
