I don't generally write reviews, but when I find the perfect product and design...I have purchased literally dozens of these plastic style shelf units over the years, Sam's, Costco, Walmart, Home Depot, etc. These are by far and away the best. They cost a little bit more but they are really worth it!* The design is perfect (I'm an engineer, BTW)!* I just bought another one, and I assembled it in about 2-3 Minutes with zero tools. No hammering!* Same is true for disassembly! Save your fingers from getting pinched!* They are perfect if you have to ever move! Far superior to metal shelves!* They have square posts which are much more resistant to "squishing" and and compression.* It is much easier to attach things to the posts due to the square tubes...* They have different size, overlapping connectors on each end.* They are made from ABS Plastic, but not all ABS is the same.* They are less brittle and resistant to chipping when banged or dropped than others.* They are very strong and look great!In the future these are now my "go to" for these styles shelving units!

Some shelves were chipped on arrival which wasn't surprising with the cheap feeling plastic. Felt very brittle.The bigger issue is the joints of the poles with the tiers. The base is great for this and fits the pole snuggly but when you lay the top tier on, you figure out rapidly there's a serious design flaw. The joint keeps the pole in place using very shallow plastic teeth, and the notches stopped notches in the tier are really shallow too. Unless you're locking it in place with another tier on top of it, expect to be knocking the top tier off constantly.For what its worth it was easy to put together but I would advise not to buy this if you're looking for something sturdy. I'm expecting to be replacing these by the end of the year (its February now) and it won't be by choice.

One of the shelves was cracked at the corner. I used it as the top shelf and hid the damaged corner in the back. No instructions included but the assembly was intuitive and easy. Shelving is strong even with one shelf damaged so I opted to keep it.
