I have a 75 Gallon Cichlid tank. I started from scratch with setting everything up and I had never had such a hard time with cycling before this tank. Cichlids are dirty fish. This product is AMAZING. Not only does it clear up the water, but it aerates the water very well! It’s definitely worth the money. It’s no more noisy than a regular bubbler and all I had to do to install it was screw the top, submerge it, and plug it in. The pictures are from day 1 and day 4.

This product is super and works great. I could see a change in about 3 days. But 7-10 days later it was clear as it could be. And its very quiet

Okay to be clear on this product, I am not paid for this review whatsoever. I see all the review discrepancies and this product is amazing but you have to have it perfectly in the right placement. This UV filter is a life saver for any tank, however, it’s quirky in the sense that it needs to be a specific level in your tank and with a specific amount of water levelization or it will stop working all together. You do have to play with the placement inside the tank (move it up and down a tinch) and play with your water levels (volume wise as adding more or less water to your tank) a little but it will come back to life 100 percent. Use an extension cord as well to allow more access to move it accordingly. When you do this— it works perfectly. The UV additions to my canister did not do the job this guy does.

Does what it’s supposed to do with ease! I had a significant bacterial bloom in my 20g nano reef tank that was getting out of hand. I knew I needed a UV on this system but was on the fence on which one to get. I took a gamble on this, even though I knew it wouldn’t fit in my AIO chambers. HOLY COW! Less than 72 hours after dropping it in the tank and plugging it in, water is Clear! This is not a high quality piece of gear, but it works for its intended purpose and is an extreme bargain over higher end UV systems. If you don’t intend to run UV all the time and need to remedy a current problem, I have no hesitation in recommending this. I have taken mine out for now as I hate having gear in the display area, but I’ll run it from time to time as/if needed

I had an algae bloom pop up in my tank and I was skeptical of this product. Even after seeing positive reviews. I couldn’t hardly see through my tank the day I put it in (Sunday) and each day I saw improvement. Today it’s almost crystal clear after just 5 days of running it consecutively. My son added too much food this morning but the filter cleans the tank pretty well and keeps the water moving nicely.

I bought this for my turtle tank and I have to be honest this was the best I’ve ever seen the tank clear. I wish I would’ve taken a before but I forgot to. But what I can say is as far as being clear it does just that. As far as catching big debris it gets stuck at the back of the filter and doesn’t suck into it which could be a good thing. However the air pump won’t work for me which is a bummer but I have one in there already so I’m not as upset. The filter lets out very fast current so for fish I’d say no don’t get it BUT IF YOU HAVE A TURTLE THIS IS GREAT! And if you struggle with foggy water this is perfect! Just know it is very strong. So after the water clear just turn it off if you have small fish! And purchase a small air pump to have on for your fish.

UPDATE1: I had to do a water change today as it was time and I stopped the filter just like I always do to avoid any issues. I changed out the water and filled the tank back up. Once again the aeration stopped working. I don't understand why it's not working though it is rather frustrating as this was one of the things I wanted. I have to say I'm a little disappointed with this. I got this when my old filter system fell apart. The installation was easy and at first it really was working well and I was happy with it. About a day later my daughters told me that it was "spitting" and I went to look. The aeration wasn't working like it was in the beginning. I couldn't figure out why as I hadn't done anything with it. It was disappointing and I pulled the system out and cleaned it (even though it had only been a day) and put it back together. Luckily it was really quite easy to pull out and clean and get back in. After I re-installed it the aeration still didn't work that well though I was able to get it to work a little. I will say the suction cups on this thing are amazing. They old everything on tight. I do with the unit I got came with a flow director like the larger ones. It does look fine in the tank where I have it and doesn't seem to take away from the rest of the tank. For the money I spent I'm not too disappointed and I'm looking forward to see how it works with the UV light to help clean the tank. It does seem to work pretty well overall.

It was working really well honestly, but seemed like the motor or whatever stopped working. Lasted me about 2 months

I recently purchased a UV filter for my aquarium, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Within just three days, the water went from cloudy to crystal clear. This isn't what you want for the price. Everything about it is cheap, cheap, cheap, and I doubt if it would pass CSA electrical compliance. The suction cup mount slides off way too easily, filter body below the motor falls off easily if not careful. The UV bulb has hairline cracks in it, and the wiring connections seem rather sketchy in my opinion. UV bulb is cheaply mounted in the unit. Unit has two power cords that are so short, they are useless and require extension cords if your outlet isnt right at the tank level. The cover on the powerhead always falls off ... it could have been so good and yet the cheaped out on everything

Very strong, so be careful where u place it in the tank. Other than that, it's great. Been using it for about 5 months. Easy to clean, comparatively speaking. Does a good job, and the UV does keep the bio residue down. I have a 40 gallon tank and I was finding that some were not oxygenating very good and I would end up with a gross tank. This works well.

Using in my turtle tank.. has cleared up all algae problems and keeps the water crystal clear . Easy to use and set up. Easy to clean filter.. instructions aren't the best but that could be my typical male problem with instructions. Only had it in place for a couple weeks.. I will update when I know more about durability.
