Astoundingly Great Little Tool!
I was actually using this to dig 3 ft deep holes for posts. The huge $500 gas powered auger I rented couldn't cut it, it would hit a rock and bend out of my hands. But this little adapter was able to go around rocks and loosen the soil for removal! Honestly, I cannot believe how good this thing worked! I really went hard in the paint with it too - digging holes in a variety of terrible soils with rocks and roots - you name it! I truly put this auger to the test, and it did not Bend or break. It's also an incredible value for the money. I'll probably be buying another one just for safe keeping! If you're planning on using this just for planting, it will absolutely make planting easier. 12/10 WILL use again!

Wish it was better.
It came as two pieces in a fancy cloth carry case (unnecessary, but if you use it, it could keep your toolbox clean). The package included an Allen wrench and a wrench for tightening the bolt, but the wrench was the wrong size. My biggest gripe was that the Auger uses a non-standard bit size, which means that you have to use an adapter if you are to use it with an impact driver, not a problem because I have the adapter, but trying to keep everything together proved to be more work than not using the auger bit. Also, the metal quality isn't that strong; after a couple of uses, I could see areas wearing down around the end of the bit. And lastly, the Auger throws dirt all over the place. I ended up putting a 4" drain cuppler around the outside to keep the dirt contained. Overall, I was disappointed, and as I said, it proved to be more of a hassle than it was worth. I have had better ones in the past.

Helpful tool for what I needed.
This drill auger helped me with test holes for larger holes that I needed to drill. It held up well and will be a useful tool for other jobs to come. The included extension helped me to 30" or more deep for the test holes.

I have saved a lot of time digging post holes with these augers. I also use them in the garden to mix up my garden dirt for the season. They help in different jobs.
