I actually purchased these for a school band competition.However they would be perfect for a race at themed birthday as well.They are a lot stronger than they appear. We had them waving hard for the entire length of a performance and they stood up well.The price is great for the amount of product you receive. I plan on purchasing more as we get into the season. Only because I’m sure they will get left in the stands over time.

We ordered these for our Christmas tree theme, Hot Wheels and they were perfect. Nice and sturdy.

Great for the theme we selected

These were easy to assemble, but was expecting to receive 30 total. Got 39 sticks, but only 25 flags. Disappointed.

Right size, easy to put together and suited my purpose perfectly.

If I could give these 3.5 stars, I would. I recommend them, but with the caveat of: they are pretty cheaply made. They're a thin plastic, and the white part where the stick goes in isn't sewn very well or consistently. The stick also bends pretty easily. I had to throw a couple away but I only needed 10 so it wasn't a big deal to me. They're great for party decor or as a favor for kids, but they won't hold up to long-term play.
