I've had these for about three years now and this just started happening** A: Yup, I have that problem with similar lights I bought at Costco. I just put the battery holder in backwards when I'm not using them. No more battery drain. A bit of an inconvenience, but it's worth it not to find the batteries dead all the time. **Q: do you know diameter? need mount for my bike and it goes up to 22 mm diameter** A: Hello Mike, I measured the light and it is 29.2 mm diameter in the handgrip area and flares out at the front around the reflector to 34.3 mm. That is, I use use for between 30 seconds to 5 minutes at a time. I have been exceptionally pleased with the battery life given what I paid for the 3 flashlights and the level of illumination. If I had to guess - I would say you get about 2 hours on hi. Once again, that is a guess because I use mine for very brief spurts. I do get a lot of spurts though. **Q: Is this the same model that costco sold marked techlite lumen master? great light and would like to buy more.** A: It is. I also had the one from Costco. This is the same exact brand and model. Only difference is this is brighter. The old Costco one was 200 lumens. This is 250. But everything else is the same even the way the tail cap switch works. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best flashlights I have ever owned! *by K***N on June 10, 2014* These are great for shops, tools kits, camping, anything! SUPER BRIGHT!!!! They will drain batteries if you store them for a long period of tim with batteries in them but I cut the plastic packaging they came in into circles the size of the inside tube and placed it on top of the battery pack to prevent the batteries from draining (making a connection) when I store them or I knew I was not going to be using them for awhile(several months). There is also some videos online on how to change the 3 mode switch to an on/off switch, I have done it to one of these and it works great and also prevents battery drainage over time! I paired these with some Eneloop batteries and use them for everything! I usually have to charge my batteries every 3-5 months when using these a few times a week. These flashlights also will withstand almost anything! I break flashlights fairly often, most only last about a month or two then stop working for whatever reason but I have a set of the older version of these that I have had for 2 years that are still working great and I have had these newer versions for quite awhile also and they are still going strong! Highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome but... *by R***K on December 27, 2013* There are great. This is the same light sold under the Duracell name. I bought 2 of these 3-packs and have one Duracell from before. I am a Realtor and offer thee to my Buyers when we are looking at a home. I've only lost 2 so far :^).The switch has 3 positions, low beam, high beam and strobe. I can't really see a need for the strobe light which I always have to click thru. Kinda irritating when you turn it on and off a lot to conserve batteries. But the big issue I've has is that 2 of them stopped working. One started working OK after a few days, and the other one was replaced, free, by the manufacturer (Called the 800 number on the package.) But is is a super bright light that you can easily carry in your pocket or purse. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little lights for the price! *by N***K on October 28, 2013* On my second package of these lights! These are awesome lights for the price and shockingly bright. Better than any of the thinner Mag Lites, etc I have seen and second only to a Surefire or other. Don't be fooled by the other so called "Cree" lights on Amazon with generic names. These are the real Cree deal! I have bought other "Cree" lights only to find the LED's are completely different between them.These are durable, last a long time, and are cheap enough to not be upset if they get lost or misplaced! I have had one fail completely due to the switch, but for the price that is to be expected. Every so often a light will start acting up on me. I take the battery cartridge out and clean the contacts on the cartridge and down in the bottom of the light and they are good as new. You can see a black or grey spot on both ends from friction between the surfaces, cleaning that off fixes them right up.
