This was my first ever paint-by-numbers (PBN?) kit and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Canvas is high quality and it was so much fun to do. Here are some tips and tricks that might help somebody out there: (1) - It arrived folded/creased but it was quite easy to iron out. I'd recommend to flip it over, and iron the back of the canvas with your iron on low. After a few passes, the creases should smooth out. I also pinned it onto a wood frame before starting. Pinning it helped to further stretch the canvas, which allowed the paint to go on smoothly without the canvas bunching up. (2) - I chose to paint an image from my wedding, which in retrospect was probably not a good idea.. and here's why. My image contained very light colors - pure white, pale peach and pinks. Even though I went over the areas with many layers of paint, the numbers are still visible up close. (As you can see in my photo attached.) However, far away no one can see the numbers. Later on I discovered that going over the numbers with correction/wite out tape first, really helped. (3) - I read many reviews where people recommended to start painting the darker colors first. This helps in most situations, but for me it was better to paint the larger areas first. I had to paint flowers with tiny details and it was just better to paint these last - despite some of the colors being darker than the rest of the painting. (4) - I thought this was something I could complete in a whole day or two, but boy was I wrong. I painted for 2-3 hours a day for a little over a week. It probably could've been finished in a few days, but my hands and wrists were so sore that I had to stop and wait for the next day. At one point I had to take a day off because my wrists still felt stiff. So my biggest tip is -- TAKE BREAKS! When I got tired, I found myself not caring for painting the details properly. All in all, this was an extremely fun project to do. I made a few mistakes, but I am still so happy about it. I hang it proudly in my home and smile everyday when I see it. About to order my second kit and I am so excited for it!

I had SO much fun with this!!! At first I was a little unsure because the colors were so dark and I was like no way is this going to turn out right.. AND THEN IT DID! I’ve already got another picture loaded and in my cart because I loved this so much. It’s so fun to get to design your own image, the kit has everything you need, and the paints are great! I also loved that they gave me extras on the colors I would be using the most so I didn’t have to worry about running out of anything. Honestly, this is so inexpensive compared to some others that I’ve looked at and the detail of the printing is phenomenal. If you’re going to get a custom one made, use this one! I didn’t get the framed one. To save money I just got the unframed kit since I have frames at home anyway, but it was still so amazing and such a great price regardless. I am in love with it. Jeff Goldblum and I get to hang out every day while I am working now. And he’s perfect.

These products are pretty good , I have ordered several, the pics look a little different as a painting , it kinda looks like 3d pretty neat actually, they give u a date where they will arrive , it has varied with everyone some were pretty late but they r coming overseas too so that is expected, any messages I sent got answered in a timely manner, was really sad had a real special one that has never got here yet and the update was the 14th n it's the 29th now, they r suppose to return my money , I hope eventually it does arrive. They have sent plenty of paint n some brushes with each one you buy.

Cons: Apparently, an actual human doesn’t check the items before theyre shipped. The skin colors are all shades of pink- like Easter egg pinks. Cartoon characters at best; definitely not anywhere close to skin colors. Checked against the pic I sent- 90% of the colors are way off. Considering both canvases arrived late (not USPS fault) its too close to Christmas for me to do anything except trash them or try to match the colors myself. Canvases are VERY VERY thin & not good quality. When I steamed out the wrinkles (they ship them rolled) I was afraid it was going to tear. Most of the paints are a decent quality except for black. Its like painting with cheap liquid eyeliner. There are details that have no color at all. For ex, my Nan’s jewelry. So I will have to figure that out too. There are details on the canvas that are different from the photo- buttons missing, neckline of top completely different. They have me using purple & pumpkin orange for auburn hair. I could go on but you get the gist. I have ordered these in the past & did not have these issues (diff company). My brother & Nan passed this year & this was supposed to be family gifts. It would be disrespectful for me to gift these as is. Pro: If you need to waste your time & money, its perfect. If not- I recommend choosing a different company or doing it yourself.

What a great idea! I was really impressed with the selection of paint colors and especially that there was enough paint provided for the entire picture. I did mine as a gift and the recipient loved it. Well worth the cost. I did have to take it to an art store to have it stretched but it turned out great.

Portrait turned out amazing!! Wife got her entertainment value out of this project and ended up with something sentimental in the end as her father just passed away and this was a portrait of her mother and father and her together….thanks it was a great gift from me to her in the end

The painting looked ok could have been better. The colors are wha got to me. The background of my picture was like a light mint color. The painting’s background ended up being a light pink. There were other color choices that could have been closer to the actual picture as well.
