Great substrate for axolotls
A lot of people worry about axolotl being impacted by sand or pebbles, and end up with a bare glass bottom tank to avoid that. This is a great product as an alternative to a boring glass bottom tank. Once received, I combed out the loose pieces. Rinsed off, and installed into tank. Fit perfect in a 20g tall tank with no cutting needed. Stays down with decorations on top. And is nice and soft for axolotls. Mine seems to love it. Glad I purchased this, seems easy to clean too

amazing, but sheds
i was so pleasantly shocked to see how big these were, but they shed a lot if you put it in an aquarium so just be cautious of that! otherwise the quality is really nice though!

I Hope it Works Out
[Mississippi Map Turtle Tank]This is so, so nice. I had a bare bottom tank because I heard that was perfectly acceptable for turtles. Certainly made cleaning for me very easy. Then I started to feel bad though because, bare is a bit ugly and also it can't be comfortable sleeping on hard glass right? I stumbled on this by accident and I LOVE it.Had to buy two packs (4 titles total) and cut up one with big scissors. Overall it's very beautiful, adds color to the tank and hopefully Shelby finds this comfy to sleep on.Turtles will definitely eat anything and so far I have seen her nibble at it once. Once... like everything else in her tank (seriously, even her rock cave) she tries to eat it to see if it's edible, and she stops once she realizes it isn't.I'm not sure if I will be able to keep the grass, right now it's in its "trial" phase to see if she keeps trying to eat it (bad = I'll have to remove it) also I want to see how easy it is to clean with this. I'm really hoping it works out and she doesn't eat it because it's SO PRETTY!!!You should have no problem having this if you have fish or something but if you have a turtle like me just watch it.Also, I'm sure you could secure it with some aquarium glue but I didn't want to use that, so when I clean I can just easily yoink it out... So you'll have to secure with rocks or decorations because it will try to float.Overall I recommend it. Way more unique as opposed to gravel.

They shed
These shed they are Astro turf is all they are they shed on the sides and was to afraid my fish would eat the pieces of the carpet I was using for fry Matt’s to catch the eggs but it didn’t work the mat was to dense would probably work on the outside of the back of an aquarium though it just didn’t work for me so I gave these a 3 star because of the dangers of them shedding

Perfect For my 9gallon
I love this grass. It is super soft and realistic looking. It’s way better than the live grass without all of the mess. Other reviewers said it sheds, I will say it only shed on the edges where it was factory cut. I just took a wide tooth come and brushed the edges to get all the loose grass off. I washed it first and blow dried it with my hairdryer. If you look at the underneath side before you cut it to size, you can cut between the sewn marks with no shedding at all. I had to cut across those sewn marks but just took my comb and brushed off the loose edges. I have one square left and will buy more if needed in another tank. Definitely worth the price. And it looks awesome in my betta tank.

Great for my tortoise table.
I bought this for my tortoise table, for the upper area where she eats and for in front of her water dish so she wouldn't track so much dirt in it.The grass does not shed when you cut the mat for different sizes, which is nice.Safety: No she doesn't eat it, she tried once but tortoises are smart enough to learn what's edible and isn't. I wouldn't use it for geckos as they often ingest materials.Easy to clean... I just wash with a little soap and rinse it out. Dries really quickly. It's not grippy on the bottom but it has a couple drainage holes, so I used a very tiny nail, bent it a little and then places the mat holes over that to hold it in place on my ramp. The pile or length of grass is deep/long enough my tortoise can't feel the top of the nail. I wish it came with one more square but it is worth the money for a small project. I purchased two packs.
