Still The Best!
I’ve been using Vaughan hammers for many years. I bought this one for a recent cabin build with my Son. It’s just the right weight for driving 10 penny nails in OSB sheeting. The nail magnet is not a gimmick. It turns a two handed job into one so you can safely hang onto the ladder and reach out to nail that last corner. Made in USA and worth every penny.

Classics are Still the Best
Im surprised at how much I enjoy this more traditional style, wooden handled hammer. I've spent years with an Estwing, which I also love, but I feel this Vaughn feels nicer in my hand and transmits less shock and vibration. I've been completely satisfied and ill add that the build quality is exceptional.

Work horse hammer.
I use this at work every day, residential electrician. The long handle is nice, prefer this to my metal handle estwing for the weight savings on my tool belt. Only gripe I have is side striking nails or staples in tight stud bays is difficult due to the beveled side of the hammer.

Don't miss all steel hammers at all! Value, ergonomics, balance and power is all there.
Been working as a carpenter for 3 1/4 years now and have used about 4 or 5 different steel handled hammers from Estwing, Stanley & DeWalt for the majority of that time frame. Having now switched to this wood handled hammer I can only recommend it after my skepticism being removed with use. Can not go back to my other hammers. Gonna double up on this hammer to make sure I have a backup in the future. May even buy three!
