ALM Manufacturing HL007 Spool Head Assembly, Black

I had to replace the original spool assembly for my Trimmer due to wear & tear, chose the ALM HL007 Head assembly and was delighted with the quality item received which fitted like a glove, if not better than the original assembly to my Trimmer. It came with line attached which was a bonus, and I have used it in a extremely testing environment with the ALM HL007 passing with flying colours without any issues. What more can one ask for. One happy buyer who would advise others needing a similar replacement to purchase this item.

Brilliant replacement top marks

I stripped out some parts and repaired my old head.

this product seems to be a decent replacement to the original, though in fairness it doesnt seem as rugged (its lighter with thinner body)- works fine and time will tell as to reliability and longevity.

The spool fitted perfectly works fine and came before delivery date which was much needed .

As my strimmer was an older one, the screw was to big as it was 8mm where the old screw was .25 imperial. I had kept the old screw and altered it to fit. It works well thank you.

Great product, excellent price, quick delivery

This product was described in the Amazon description as suitable for petrol JCB strimmers serial PLT25F. Having bought it and fitted the spool on the machine the securing bolt would not wind into the end thread. When I compared it with the original it is a completely different width thread although the same length. I was forced to cut out the new bolt from the twist plastic holder and try and fit the old screw with its square head rather than pentagonal shaped head. This renders the strimmer workable but a non self feed unit. Pretty useless but at least I can get on with the work. Nothing on the back of the unit label suggested JCB but I thought they would have known best. Amazon don't. Very unhappy. I had to complain about the unit being despatched two days late from Amazon. Should have guessed this would end badly.
