I bought this as a literal impulse buy, to make a purchase free same-day delivery. Yes, Amazon got me with that one, well done. I THOUGHT it was just a USB-C hub, like JUST with USB-A ports across it.However! This little thing might have been one of the neatest tech gadgets I've bought in the last couple months. I have a JSAUX dock for my Steam Deck, which I paid three times the amount for. Still not a lot, but this was 10 dollars?! And it connected and just worked. I had to fiddle with the JSAUX dock to get everything I wanted out of it. This thing? Plugged in and done.It wasn't JUST the Steam Deck, either. On a whim, I plugged in my LG V60 ThinQ phone to it, and got a number of screen options, as well as my keyboard and mouse to work. Phone compatibility is a little iffy on this type of gear, and I really wasn't expecting much from it, and yet again, it JUST WORKED.I'm going to do some more testing with various devices I have lying around, but for a throwaway impulse buy, this thing is an instant success and part of my mobile computing loadout going forward. I might even buy a few more as a spare, and one for my wife.

Read reviews that this was a good, cheap substitute for the Steam Deck Dock. They were not wrong. My old no name dock had more features but connectivity and power delivery were all over the place and got worse with age. This little guy worked like a charm right out of the box. No issues, plug and play. Use a steering wheel through the usb, again worked flawlessly.Only time will tell of the longevity.

Even better, the connection is rock-solid, which is a huge upgrade compared to my old dock that constantly betrayed me with random disconnects.Now, let’s talk about the details. There are a couple of minor drawbacks, but they’re hardly dealbreakers (at least for me). First, only one of the three USB ports is USB 3.0, while the other two are USB 2.0. If you’re planning to use those ports for heavy-duty data transfers, this might be a bummer—but I’m just using them for Bluetooth receivers, so it’s basically a non-issue for me.The second downside? No SD card slot. Again, not a big deal because my laptop already has one, but it’s something worth mentioning if you’re someone who relies on SD cards frequently.Bottom line: For the price, this dock is a steal.
