Civil War Bluray + DVD + Digital

Awesome movie, scary and timely. I watched it twice the week I got it. I still think about it. Totally avoided the politics behind the conflict, just dropped into the middle of the action (I think the film magazines call that in media res, but to get a review like that you have to subscribe to the journal, and I'm just a dude scratching out his opinion that no one will read, so I don't feel obligated to go into that detail). It will make a nice addition to your Journalism Night at the Movies Fest, along with "All the President's Men," "The Post," "Shattered Glass," "Spotlight," and "Where the Buffalo Roam." It is one horrific story I have ever encountered especially it is a possible future of the country when the domestic conflict reaches to a certain level. It terrifies me when I see people will be killed so instantly that their death will have no good explanation. People get things done with brutal force, not patience and kindness. The director is so brave (even bold) to illustrate his idea in the movie that he wants to warn people about the nation-wide disaster possible. The great country will be perished if the civil war happens. It is certainly a mind-blowing work that people should not miss.

SPOILER ALERT!!!By all means, not a bad movie but it would be interesting(and probably cost billions) to actually making a modern civil war-movie with big fighting-scenes.In this Civil War-movie it feels like it's all over at the very beginning of the movie.It's about a group of journalists who cone together through unforseen events and decides to stick together, travelling to Washington D.C in time for the execution of the president.Things happen underway and it's exciting at times, but it's not at all the movie i thought it would be.Other than that A24 has made a great job making this movie look and sound really good.If you have a quality home cinema you'll certainly be happy with the audio mix.

To start off there's no clear story line,you can't tell who's good or bad,who's wrong or right,horrible! Horrible movie! It's like they tried to copy the idea of the walking dead with ghost towns and empty streets and the whole movie they try to convince you the military is bad then in the end good???? I was lost the whole terrible film and even more lost at the end.the whole time I watched it it reminded me of the B rated movies I watched in the 90s that were filmed in the 70s only the B rated movies from the 70s had a story line and you had fun counting out the cables or people trying to hide and move things. This movie I'm still confused why anyone liked it?

Man it was intense. Seeing what Americ could look like war torn and against itself. It'll leave asking a lot of questions and that's good. Cause it really gets you thinking. I love that there's no clear sides to who is the good guys or the bad guys. It's just a "This is war" there are not good guys or bad guys.

All I am going to say is that this is a great movie. I am not going to enumerate them reasons because I don't have the time at this moment. This flick should be in everybody's shelf. If and when the political situation here in the US continues unchanged this movie would enter the rank of "a prophesy" in the making. Not an scary movie to watch, but, a big but, an introduction to the shape of things to come to us if and when we don't atone in the political realm. Again, the big T is not the solution, but the prime mover to BAD things to come in the near future. Atone is the word we should remind ourselves and to others.

The disk looks and sounds great. No denying it’s an amazing film and in 4k Dolby vision and atmos, it is truly a stunning film.—A word on the digital copy—Used to be customers could get a digital code and unlock where the customer wanted. Like, it would unlock in iTunes and forever be in the library.. But then we were forced to use Movies Anywhere, which makes the customer link that app and service to iTunes and they share your entire library (possibly other personal data under vague language like “making customer experience better”) but at least the digital copy made its way to Apple iTunes (or whatever service you referred).Not any longer. This is the first time a digital copy is locked behind a wall of the Fandango app. And can only be watched from that app. It is possible to connect fandango to Movies Anywhwre, which I hoped would propagate the movie upstream and back onto Apple servers. Nope. When I connected Movies Anywhwre to this app all I accomplished was letting Fandango download my library (both films and TV—and who know what other person information). It did not allow any other benefits for the customer, but plenty to fandango. So, now you have to download another app. Create new credentials. Deal with more spam emails. And ONLY watch from the Fandango app. Which is just a fat load of more customer data being collected and sold off in ways customers can’t possibly ever know or understand. This is just getting dangerously stupid. Oh, and the fandango app is awful. Truly. If there’s a version of this movie that’s cheaper without the digital code, buy that one.

This movie is a coming of age story for a young woman who wants to be a war photographer. It follows her and her reluctant mentor as they travel across a war torn U.S. and is more about them forming a bond than about the civil war itself. There are some good battle scenes where they follow soldiers and photograph the battle. Social media has said that this movie is all about how evil and racist white people are but theres only one racist part in the movie and it depicts people of all colors fighting in the war. Personally and it's just me but there is a part where young girl says " I have never been so scared and yet I have never felt so alive." It seems like there encouraging young women to live dangerously because its thrilling and as a father I dont like that message being given to young women. Over all it was a good movie worth watching but I would wait until its streaming on one of your subscriptions.

Save some money and get the UHD without the digital code and slip cover. The code doesn't work in Canada and when I contacted Lionsgate, they said there was nothing they could do for me. This was perplexing as I had purchased this from Amazon.ca and not from a 3rd party seller from the states.Good movie and high quality disc with great audio/video, but in Canada, it seems the studios are phasing out the inclusion of the digital copy that usually accompanies the disc.

I liked the movie when I saw it in theatres, and the actual design of the cover is my preferred design, but I'm annoyed that the digital code included doesn't work in Canada. I even tried using a VPN to redeem it, and while that worked, the only option available was Fandango, which causes error messages for me anytime I log in.
