Review: Keyboard Registration Issues and Dead LED Diodes a Year In. - I got this keyboard just over a year ago in May of 2025 and have unfortunately had nothing but issues with it since it arrived. While the construction and layout of the keyboard are great, my primary issues with it have stemmed from major key registration issues that are mentioned in several other reviews. Over the past year, I started to notice that I would increasingly get double/triple key registrations and non-registrations from certain keys. I tried everything to remedy this, including changing out the switches twice, making sure the firmware was updated, and factory resetting the board multiple times. Despite all of my attempts, the board continued to have these issues, which became quite annoying as a student who was constantly typing up lab reports and other assignments. Even with all of these issues, I lived with the board because it was good enough and I was well outside of the return window. This was until this week, when I reached my breaking point with the board. My last straw was the red and green diodes completely and spontaeously dying out on the enter key, which is pictured above. Not only did this board fail to consistently register keys, which is the bare minimum for any keyboard, it also managed to have one of the LEDs become completely useless in just over a year. In addition to these issues, it's also worth mentioning that the software designed to control this keyboard, HyperX NGENUITY, is probably the worst piece of bloated shovelware I've ever had the opportunity to download and use. Not only is it incredibly resource intensive for no apparent reason, it simply doesn't work half the time and can't seem to properly save any settings to the keyboard's onboard memory. It often felt as if I was Sisyphus working against this software, but instead of pushing a boulder up a hill I was pushing macros and light configurations into this garbage software just for it to not properly save anything. This keyboard is in warranty, but I will not be RMAing it for another piece of inconsistent garbage. I'd recommend anyone reading this to go take a look at a non-gaming keyboard brand instead. The keys feel smooth when typing optimizing overall performance and the RGB backlighting looks sick! I really like the dedicated media controls and how easy it is to set up this keyboard. It comes with a usb C power cable which in my opinion could be a bit longer. It also comes with a tool to help remove the keys.
