We need to put enough pressure for correct time to allow the adhesive to set. Prior to finding the film, we had no reliable way to check. This film worked perfect for the application. We are placing 115 pounds of pressure on the mirror glass from our press. That is translates to 45 pounds in the finished assembly as the force is absorbed by the pad.
