**Q: Does anyone know if the battery can be charged via a 12v lead/adapter as i will have no access to mains power to use it when camping?**
A: I DO NOT KNOW. I THINK UNLIKLY. YOU COULD BUY AN EXTRA BATTERY AND ONLY HAVE THE CLOCK ON DURINGTHE NIGHT OR USE THE RADIO LIGHTLY DURING THE DAY

**Q: Can this be recharged via a usb to a 12 v battery**
A: I do not think so but not sure. I cannot imagine why you would want to. I think you can charge up a mobile phone with it. It is a brilliant alarm/radio. The only radio alarm I could find that will run off both plug in and battery. It is DAB and has a brilliant sound.

**Q: I have lost the connection cable for my Monty radio. Where can I get one?**
A: Please contact VQ they will be able to help you with replacing your power cable.

A: The radio works on mains electricity and if you buy the battery without mains electricity

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes the radio portable, and usable in a power cut

This battery is useful if you want to disconnect the radio from the mains to use elsewhere in the property or outside. It also enables to radio to work during a power cut. It charges automatically when the radio is plugged in again. But it is a quite expensive monopolised product, and with a different design it could have been made possible to use equally good but cheaper and universally available rechargeable batteries.
