Review: Incredibly bad design - This is the newer version of the Powertel 50 which has come with some software updates (which is an improvement) but also a new "body" design and therein lies the problem. In summary, the handset slips off the main unit constantly and this issue is exacerbated if you attach it to the "riser" that comes with it. Have 3 of these all with the same problem so its just a general design fault. Obviously if you are using this for more vulnerable members of your family and the handset slips off, it will be unable to send outgoing calls in the event of a panic and if anyone tries to ring it will be engaged.

### ⭐ The active radius from panic button to phone unit is way too limited

This phone was no good at all for my mother. The reception radius, from activating the panic button and the signal being received by the base phone unit, was so limited. It only worked when within 8 metres of one another. The alarm system only worked through one internal wall or directly above the room where the phone sat and it only worked in the garden when the panic button was directly outside the window of the room where the phone was. This meant that throughout 3/4 of my mother's house and garden she could fall, press the panic button requesting help and nothing would happen. This distressed me and my mother so much I have sent the phone back and requested a refund.
