What’s it like for catching moving shots ie sports action?

Each new version gets better with more option settings & these have settings you need to learn to get the best, usually you'll be in a rush so try the pre-sets. They all react the bet the better the ambient light is, so on a dull day results are not so good; blotchy & blurred; with good light the automatic can catch good images. Going manual is okay but needs practice. The 20+ mp picture helps capture the detail too.

Can you download images to I pad using WiFi?

What is the battery life like? Is there a cable that goes straight into the camera to charge it with?
