Easy install, very effective lighting for X1C
The media could not be loaded. Took me about 15 minutes to complete the installation although there were no instructions provided. There is plenty of information available on the internet to help you find the location of the connection header. It's located behind the plastic cover just above the X1C's camera.I did my installation a little atypical from what is intended. I attached the LED strips just underneath on the edge of the metal lip that is directly above the x-axis carriages. This left a minimal amount of room between the LED strips and the x-axis carriages. It seems to be about 1.5 mm of clearance and has not caused any issues. I folded the wires up around on top of that metal lip and used a couple of small dabs of high temperature Hot Melt glue to secure the wiring and make it tidy. I also ran the LEDs from the left side around the front to the right side. They are intended to be a run around the back of the printer. I believe my installation makes routing the wiring easier and provides even better lighting.

not a fan
Not a fan of this light. Most likely my fault but the wire was not taped securely enough and drooped down over time, where it got caught by the print head and was then pulled apart.

Need a riser
Placing the leds on each side of the printer is significantly brighter when looking inside the printer. The led color is slightly bluer than the stock bar but not entirely harsh. With that said, for you to get the most out of these leds, you need a camera shroud to help with the lack of wide dynamic range on the printers camera. I'll update when i do so.Also something to note is my printer is very fresh build July 2024 and the stock camera would not budge. Idk if this is a mistake on Bambu lab or they now glue it in place. There's a control board above the camera that you can unplug the stock led light bar(BL hot glued the connector in lol fun).Just plug the new led set into the lightbars plug. Much easier and you can leave the stock bar in. I might buy a splitter and hook up both but i have to research what amperage the stock board can handle.*Update*The camera shroud didn't work out. The white balance was blown out due to the lights reflecting on the pei sheet. I ended up printing out a thin riser to attach them to. if you go on printables and search "THE BEST BAMBULAB X1C AND X1 LIGHT UPGRADE MOD - X1C LOWRIDER COB LED SYSTEM" by TheLightSpeed!prints out perfectly and you just need 4 m3x16mm screws.Drastic difference with the riser. Only thing preventing 5 stars is if it had 4 strips to go around the entire top section so there's no harsh shadows on one side
