I did not have any issues installing this in my 2019 Mercedes CLA 250. The old SD card wore out, yes they do degrade and go bad as you use them over time. It was inexpensive. Checking the Garmin site there is even a way to upgrade the data by using a usb stick for those who want the latest and greatest. For now V14 is just fine for me and besides the SD card will eventually wear out again and by then I'm sure there will be a newer version out. This is by far much cheaper than going to a mercedes dealer. Make sure you pain attention to the head unit you will be using this in....it is very specific to the head unit model.

I bought this item for my Mercedes c300 2021. It doesn't work. Waste of money.

For my Mercedes GLA250, I just plugged into SD card slot and turned on the engine, clicked on 2 menu items, and it worked for navigation immediately. such a good value. I'm not a big user of the nav screen here in Hawaii, but it's nice to see and have if needed.

I did not think that I could buy a navigation card from anywhere else other than Mercedes Benz to get it to work. But then I thought about it and said Garmin is and has always been a leader in navigational equipment, so let me try them. And it worked! The seller was easy to work with, the package arrived on time. I had a great experience.
