I use a steering wheel and would recommend this control method to be honest. A pad works fine though. Maybe try Google for your choice of settings.

The only thing I can think of is it’s DLC that is €39. If you have the disc version, you have the game and it should not cost any extra. There should be an option to decline to purchase any chargeable DLC. If none of this is the case, sorry I don’t know what the problem is
