Nice fragrance - got this after wanting it for a while and was not disappointed.Liam has a smouldering figgy tea opening with some zinging cardamom (you can really smell the tea) but then a lovely woody note takes over. Not getting much vetiver, to be honest but the sandalwood makes up for it. There is an undercurrent of vanilla throughout but it is not too overpowering.

This is what ChatGPT recommended to try first from the Lattafa brand, based on fragrances I like: "Le Sel d'Issey, Encre Noire, Terre d'Hermès."Based on the reviews, I was dubious because they were mixed, and people were saying it did smell of black tea, which I'm not familiar with and didn't think I would like. I was pleasantly surprised that I don't really get tea when I smell it, or maybe I am just not familiar with that note.On first spray, it smells like cheap lemonade (I know that's not selling it, but it's honest). That smell, however, doesn't last long at all. It transforms pretty quickly, to me, into something less like black tea and more like a peppery, spicy but sweet, subtle fragrance. I get the cardamom, but honestly, it's tricky to pinpoint the notes because it's not the strongest fragrance; it's pretty quiet.It's a very modern style men's fragrance, less old classic and more in the realms of Sauvage, but not as floral; One Million, but not as sweet; Le Sel d'Issey, but not as peppery/unique. It's more on the generic side, but it's pretty well balanced. What I would say it definitely isn't, is a blue fragrance, to me anyway. If it was, I would put it more in the Invictus/Sauvage, sexy subtle style rather than the clean, shower gel, soapy, overpowering style.I hope all the points I tried to make didn't contradict each other and instead reinforced what I was trying to get across.The only reason for a 4 and not a 5 star is the strength and projection. I would like a more "smack you in the face" fragrance, but I will definitely be buying more based on this first try of Lattafa.

Most reviews seem to be from men but this is also a great scent for women. It's fresh and smells expensive. Also much better packaging, as some women's lattafa perfumes have really over the top bottles but this is more low-key. Will definitely repurchase this. Lattafa are really nailing it.

I am re-gifting it. I am giving 3 starts because it is an original product and it arrived quickly. But the perfume itself it is not my cup of fig tea :)

I have 16 different Lattafa mens fragrances - this is the best. I love it so much that I bought a second one as a backup. The only thing I hate is the fact it only lasts up to 2-3 hours despite being EDP

Smell itself is decent but doesn’t last at all not even an hour and projection is barely noticeable even when I showered myself with it. Bought this and Kehwa together Kehwa is a solid 10/10.

Do you think your BDK Gris Charnel would be better if it wasn't so syrupy sweet and had a bit more woodiness?. Then this is it. Fantastic spiced, sweet, earl grey tea scent. Blind buy safe as long as you are looking for a good Gris Charnel clone.
