The toe box was just a hair snug but not so much that I couldn’t deal with it. But you can forget about wearing socks or adding any kind of insole unless you can go up a size (I couldn’t). Arch support is very good, if maybe a little too firm. I would also classify the width as somewhat narrow, as I have a very slender foot and these fit me like a glove in that regard. If I had to pinpoint my biggest complaint, it would be the lack of an actual tongue. The panel between the lacings is actually attached all the way around. It was a tight fit but I was 100% ok with it and willing to sacrifice the blood circulation in my toes for a few hours to be able to wear these. Then came the point of no return.
