Sturdy build & fantastic recording quality.
The Shure MV7 sports a sturdy all-metal construction that is built to last. The accompanying tripod is light but robust, easily allowing you to change the angle and position of the mic and doesn’t take up much space on your desk. Much like every other microphone, the MV7 sports a 5/8” screw mount for mounting onto stands & boom arms plus a 3/8" adapter in the box for even more compatibility. I bought the MV7 to replace a Blue Yeti X that I had been using to record hypnotherapy files. The Shure MV7, being a dynamic microphone, cuts out the need for a lot of processing which resulted in a warmer, more rich & natural tone for my recordings. As it is also compatible with Android I can just hook it up to my phone et voila, I’m good to go! I was a bit leery about the touch panel but it does exactly what it is supposed to and does it well. I’ve even swipe don it during recording and no noise was picked up from the action. The complementary MOTIV app works really well with plenty of features, preset EQs and options to play with and enable a limiter, reduce the dynamic range using compressor effects and more, and you can save the presets within the app for easy switching. There’s also the benefit of being able to choose XLR, USB or both at the same time (even though Windows 10 can be a pain in the backside when it comes to multiple recording devices) The only real downside of this microphone is that it still uses a micro USB connection on the mic itself which seems cheap at this price point. Come on Shure, get on the USB C bandwagon! Having said that, they do include both a USB A to micro USB cable and a USB C to micro USB cable in the box. This really is the perfect mic for beginners doing voice work, podcasters or streamers. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than more lauded microphones but you really do get the tonal quality you pay for.

Superb, amazing. Brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant mic. I am not expert on sound but even a novice like me can clearly hear that this mic is amazing. My voice sounds clearer, crisper, more professional and free of distortion. It blocks the background sounds amazing when you have it set up well. This is the hard part and each setting will be different for all depending on the sound of your voice and surrounding sounds. The adjustable base it great and there is little to dislike about any of this. Yeh the price is expensive, but I am more than happy to have paid this considering how good this mic is. You get what you pay for and wow this mic is worth every penny imo. I very much doubt you will regret buying one, just make sure you intend on using it alot to get your moneys worth!

Great Mic! Incredible sound quality
Great mic, incredible sound, and very easy to setup! I did need to buy a USB C hub so I could connect my mic, monitor, and streamcam as they all have USB C connections and my Macbook only had 2 x USB connections, however this was relatively inexpensive to buy and allowed me to sync all my devices. I've bought many microphones over the years, including the Blue Yeti and this was is not even comparable ... it's in a different class of it's own!

Wow!
I’ve been using a wireless DJI mic for a while but wanted something that could handle recording in a small non soundproofed room (invariably with a dog in the corner). This mic is outstanding at focussing on your voice and eliminating 99% of everything else. My dog was making a lot of noise during my testing and the mic did not pick it up. The app allows you to play around with a lot of settings too. The sound quality is unbelievable; the ‘dark’ bassy setting is a bit too bassy for me, but that’s a good thing because I feared it wouldn’t be bassy enough! The windshield is rubbish though, so I’ve ordered the Shure RK345 (£25ish) as I’ve heard it’s a good fix. The mic is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and the stand (which is VERY good) sits quite tall from my desk at about 4”. Which the mic attached and pointed at me, it sits about 10” from the desk.

Great mid-range mic!
After watching several reviews on YouTube, I decided to purchase the Shure MV7, and I am not disappointed at all. The sound quality is great for meetings and also delivers good-quality sound for live streaming. It's less potent than its big brother, the Shure MV7B, but it doesn't require additional dongles as it performs well when connected via USB. A few drawbacks are the fact that it's not USB-C (which is a bummer) and that it takes in a lot of plosives depending on how far you speak from it. However, you can replace the foam with the one used for the Shure SM7B. The software could be better as there aren't many options. So, I recommend plugging it into an audio interface with an XLR cable for optimal sound quality.

Perfect sound quality. Quick and easy to use.
I got this as my first podcasting mic (Life At Your Own Will Podcast). It's as easy as plugging into your computer and you're good to record. The app is very easy to use, making the sound quality very customisable. I like how this mic is dual input. You can connect using USB or XLR. Along with the headphone jac at the bottom It's clearly been designer with ease of use in mind. The only flaw is the mic foam which comes with it. It's neither use nor ornament. It does nothing to prevent plosives. That's easily remedied with an alternative foam cover. If you're considering getting a mic without all the faff of using an audio interface, with excellent-sounding audio in mind - this is the mic for you. Plus, on an aesthetic note - it looks really attractive.

After noticing how incredible a few of my European colleagues audio sounded on Teams calls and when recording a webinar, I confirmed they were all using various forms of dynamic podcasting mics. I'd been using the built-in stereo mic from my Insta360 Link, which was solid, but noticeably lacked in comparison to my colleagues when listening to a playback. My decision then came down to the MV7, the SM7B, and Rode's Podcaster Pro USB. The MV7 won out because of the USB convenience when I'm in my home office, the "far mode" (I don't want the mic in the shot during regular business meetings, but will close-mic for other purposes), and the ability to use the XLR connection when working from my studio where I have a Scarlett 1820i interface. That kind of versatility is rare but appreciated. Performance-wise, this is immediately an elevation to your sound. I have it plugged in via USB to a Lightning Hub, which my Macbook Pro then plugs into. The MV7 was immediately recognized and I set it to my default audio device. The Motiv software is basic, but useful in terms of setting it up for manual or auto control. I've left it in Auto "far" mode for meetings, meaning it dynamically adjusts the gain to compensate for the 16-18-ish" inch distance I sit from the mic, and the results have been amazing. Flipping to manual control for closer applications takes a couple clicks. This is the best voiceover mic I've ever used. The USB vs XLR difference is predominantly in the bottom end and the lower-mids. The character is exactly the same regardless of interface type, but with the XLR connection running through my Gen3 Scarlett, the MV7 can be made to sound almost indistinguishable from an SM7B, and I don't say that lightly. If you are thinking about getting this mic, you should probably just get this mic. The only other mics I've ever recommend this highly are the Shure SM58 and the AKG C414. All provide exceptional value, quality, and capability for their intended purposes.

It's one of the purchases that was fully satisfying for me. I had to return it once because I recieved a damaged product at first but i replaced it without any hustle. I love Amazon for that, and hate Flipkart for the same. The puduct is like super super good. I was upgrading from a zoom h1n so yes i expected a good quality increase, but this one is really nice i don't have to edit the noise now. It's super clean and 💓💓💓
