Best Dash Cam
I’ve been using this dash cam for a while now and I’m really satisfied with it. The video quality is clear both during the day and at night, and the setup was pretty straightforward. I recently had an issue with the rear camera cable, but customer support was very responsive and helpful — they quickly arranged a replacement for me without any hassle. Overall, great product and excellent customer service. Definitely recommend!

Botslab dashcam
The quality is good. I can stream on my phone and clearly make out license plates. The installation is super easy to put on your windshield and back glass. Hiding the wires can be kind of tricky, but it can be done. Connecting to view the dashcam is super easy if you have the app. Customer support is super helpful i recently had my dashcam stop working and I contacted customer support that asked for information and they are sending me a new one completely satisfied with bellas service. I never have to worry about battery life because it is always plugged into a cigarette port. If I were looking for a dash cam, I would definitely recommend and buy again.

Good quality dash camera. Looks pretty on the car too.
Works great. Nice camera quality. Didn't install the rear but front looks nice. Adas Works as intended although the lane departure warning isn't alway accurate. Mine came with SD car even tho it said it wouldn't.

The Botslab G980H - a budget friendly, nicely featured Dashcam
The Botslab G980H is a budget-friendly, dual-channel, 4K, nicely featured dashcam with parking mode (hardwire kit not included, B0DT1633D2). As of the time of writing this review, the G980H is selling for $129.99 minus a $30 instant savings coupon! The unit was received in a well-constructed packaging containing the front and rear 4 K and 2 K cameras, a 12V accessory outlet power cord, a rear camera cable, cling stickers for mounting the camera to the windshield, and an upholstery tool for routing the cables into the ceiling liner. I would highly recommend the additional purchase of the hardwire kit (https://www.amazon.com/Hardwire-Type-Exclusive-BOTSLAB-G980H/dp/B0DT1633D2), as parking mode will not function without it. I found both cameras to be of good quality, and the hardware provided was also made of high-quality materials. If you will be installing the cameras using the hardwire kit, you will also want to purchase a set of fuse taps appropriate for your type of fuse. I used these (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T8LRSH7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) in my 10th-generation Honda Accord. Check your vehicle's fuse box before ordering to be sure you order the right style of tap! The installation took about 3 hours to complete and was easy to do. The hardest part is identifying the correct fuse locations to tap for VCC (constant 12V) and ACC (only powered when the car is on). Once the appropriate fuses were located, I was able to complete the installation and set up the Botslab G980H using the Botslab app downloaded to my phone from the Google Play Store. If there is one negative to the G980H, it's the lack of an easily located, comprehensive manual. Most of the features are intuitive and easy to understand without the need for a manual. However, there is one feature pointed out in the advertisement for the G980H that I couldn't find any documentation for, "Hands-free control". Using the app, however, I reached out to Botslab via built-in chat support (shout out to Yana!) and was provided with the missing information! Chat support was great, and Yana got me going right away. I've attached an image Yana provided me, which will provide anyone reading this review a list of the available voice commands for the G980H. I'm not sure this is a complete list of all available voice commands, as those listed on the right don't include all of the commands being used in the picture, but it's a good start! My vehicle already has a suite of safety features which mirror those of the ADAS system employed in the G980H, so I have them disabled, however, I did perform the ADAS calibration in setup and found it to be easy to use. The Botslab G980H is a great value for the money. I am very happy with my purchase and hope this review will help others considering buying this dashcam. I give the Bitslab G980H 4 stars out of 5 only for the lack of an easily located, fully comprehensive manual.

Added safety and peace of mind
This dashcam package has exceeded my expectations in every way. From the unboxing to the final setup, the experience was seamless. Installation was quick and straightforward—even with both the front and rear cameras, the included instructions made everything easy to follow. The compact design also means it doesn't obstruct your view while driving, which is a big plus. The AI features are surprisingly useful and add an extra layer of peace of mind. Things like lane departure warnings and collision alerts are subtle but effective, making me feel more aware and safer on the road. It’s like having a co-pilot that’s always looking out for you. The video quality is excellent, both during the day and at night. Footage is crisp and clear, with wide-angle coverage that captures everything you’d want in the event of an incident. I also upgraded to a 512GB SD card (purchased separately), and the dashcam handled it with no issues at all—great for longer trips or extended loop recording. Overall, this is a well-rounded, high-quality dashcam system that offers great value. It gives me confidence every time I get behind the wheel, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their driving safety and security.

An honest review from functionality to customer service.
When I received this product it seemed to have a good quality feel, but that's where it ends. Right off the bat, it was shipped with a bad power cord, and it wasted an entire afternoon of troubleshooting. Botslab did send a new cord, but this took nearly 5 days, meaning ordering from Amazon was pointless. It's strictly the principal of the matter in regards to that. I did appreciate them sending a new cord and so far was satisfied with their customer service. However, this camera does not function as the hype suggests. 1. In order to have the camera auto shutdown (just goes into standby), it has to be at minimum "low setting" in park minitoring mode. It might as well be set to high, because if any large truck passes by, or someone is blasting music from their car passing by, it reactivates for ten minutes at a time. You should not have to have Park Monitoring activated for it to shut down after 10 minutes as it does have GPS tracking. Secondly, expect to have to format your card once or twice a week because shutting your car door when entering your vehicle reactivates it and it does an emergency recording for 1 minute. Also, if you cancel the emergency recording, it glitches the card and you have to reformat it. So you must leave it alone and let it do its thing. Just make sure it says, "Parking Mode Ending", "Emergency Recording Finished, review now" (also shows full screen notification), and then says,"recording" before you start driving, otherwise you lose 30 seconds of recording. You don't want to get in a wreck during that time as there will be no footage! 2. ADA is pretty pointless as it does not pick up on pedestrians like it claims, however, it's the only feature activated as lane assist and parking assist is already built into my vehicle. The way things are going with the software, I feel that you must have all of the features in ADA activated for the function to work. A little ridiculous and definitely a sign of afterthought in their software engineering. 3. It's not all bad though as it does have some positive capabilities (compared to cheaper generic brands). It is very sensitive in video exposure and the low "brightness setting" (should be exposure setting) is plenty for my area. If you have it set to high, it will over expose during the day and night making it impossible to read any license plate, so be aware of this. The video quality is good, kinda webcamish, but it is in 4k and the rear camera is full 1080. The cameras do well adjusting to various light conditions and maintain decent exposure. The microphone is excellent and is very clear when recording voices. 4. The app is actually pretty user friendly, but it has a major flaw, it's incapable of connecting to the internet to update the firmware. It also is unable to check the camera's current firmware and gives an error message. Everything else is very straightforward and it has excellent connectivity through both its built in WiFi and Bluetooth. It does download videos wirelessly from the camera as well, but only at about 30mbps, not the 100mbps they claim. So if you want to download your whole library, or around 15 videos from either the front or rear camera (cannot do both simultaneously), expect to be sitting there for 10 to 20 minutes to download these 3 minute videos segments. 5. The cord lengths are more than enough for a concealed install for a nice clean look. Just be aware, quality control does not seem to be this company's strong suit and you may need to get them to send a replacement cord. 6. Customer service, now we are going to explain the one star rating. Customer service is lacking here from the tech support side of things. They do not care about the subpar issues with their product when is comes to function. If you read the poorly laid out manual, which leaves out several key functions of the camera, they show that they don't even have full confidence in their product. They mention things like, "may not capture video at times", "may not function as intended at times", which is very telling about the company attitude towards its customers. The worst part is when you provide them detailed information and feedback about their product that will improve its performance, they just shrug their shoulders and have that ,"it's passable, so it's fine" attitude. My response from them regarding my feedback on the feature functionality was ridiculous and lazy. They just copied and pasted straight out of the manual and made no sense to what I actually gave feedback on. To me, that's condescending, and shows a real inability for them to control the quality of their products. In the end, they are just using copied and pasted open sourced programming for their products that are the same exact ones used in the cheap generic brands, same voice, same gingle, etcetera, yet you are paying a premium price for it, that's the difference.

9 month review
I would choose to buy it again. I've already recommended this to friends and co workers and it has already captured an incident. I wanted something that was reliable, had decent image quality, simple setup and a rear facing cam. This checked all the boxes. The app is decent, functional and easy to use however there are some ads; not a deal breaker. Incident: I was driving around 60mph on a highway, when a pickup truck hauling wood planks on its roof had 1 plank fly in the air, into my lane and in my way. I hit the plank with my bumper and of course, was pissed. But because I had this dash cam, and I knew that the damage would be small and can be settled without flagging the driver over, I kept going. The front cam captured the entire thing, flying plank, their plate, my speed and location. The rear camera captured the debris as I drove past and the driver and passenger in the other vehicle. The app allowed me to trim and download the video to my phone. Simply amazing.

Great cam, and service
Best dash cam I've had. Easy to set up and use. Also, as a new windscreen is now required, Bootslab sent me replacement attachment pieces free of charge.
