... this case but so much about it is so great for the price i feel bad even mentioning them

I have some tiny tiny niggles with this case but so much about it is so great for the price i feel bad even mentioning them.To mainline the review. Buy the case. Just buy it.For the price, this case is superb.First off, it is loaded with fans right out of the box. 2x 80 mm in the side pods (have seen such pods on other cases which are props but these actually have fans in them) and 3x 120mm led fans. There are additional slots for a second top mounted 120-140mm fan under the fin detail on the top, and a mount for a fan on the bottom of the case, but other than that all the fan slots come filled, and honestly, unless i plan to set up a wind tunnel in there i am confident the fans that came with it are more than sufficient.Though not quite as bright as shown in the image, the effect of the stock led fans is really very nice. The plastic is smoked, so it can catch shadows, and what this means in practicality is that the (not seen ) hexagonal mesh between the fans and the plastic fins casts a nice hex pattern onto the fins themselves when everything is lit up that combines with a neat optical blur effect from the clear fans that well, looks sweet. The smoked side panel on the side also allows an extra 2-4 cm of clearance for cpu coolers , so if you have a monster cooler chances are it will fit in the z11 without issue. The case interior is nicely put together. No bare metal, all black coated. The mount plate for the motherboard contains a large hole to allow for mounting/removal/remounting of cpu coolers without removal of the board from the case.Additionally, and what is a nice feature is a mount for an ssd had been added to the back side of the motherboard mounting. The one issue with it, and it is a slight niggle only, is that connecting sata power to it in that location is a tricky prospect with the clearance. If you mount the ssd so you have access to the clip that disengages a sata 600 data cable, then a standard sata power connect will not mount on the ssd. To mount it such that it will fit, you need to slip it so that you dont have access to the release for the sata data cable. Not a big issue unless you plan to repeatedly remove the ssd to be sure, and it also frees up more case space. No regrets on this , it's is a surprisingly high quality product for the price.

It's a great case and thought I'd share some experiences I have ...

I built a new system with this case a few weeks ago. It's a great case and thought I'd share some experiences I have had with it. There is plenty of space in this case and I was able to fit in a huge Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler but it does touch the side panel. The bulging bevelled side window didn't make much difference as the cooler doesn't squeeze into that space but it might give you some extra space with another cooler. This is a particularly large one. I installed an ASUS Maximus VII Ranger standard ATX motherboard and it was easy to install with the mounts already fitted. One issue with this case used with this board was that the 12V power cable fits at the top of the board and with the top fans in the case, it was difficult to connect it. My motherboard came with an extension cable and it was definitely needed to go around the top fan. If the power cables fit at the top of your motherboard, you may have problems. The old Z11 Plus connected the front USB 3.0 sockets to the rear USB 3.0 sockets on the motherboard via an extension cable. Thankfully the Z11 Plus HF1 comes with a USB 3.0 header that connects directly to your motherboard so no cables leaving the back of your PC.This is a well ventilated chassis and if you make an effort to route your cables well, then there will be plenty of air flow. Most of the routing is done behind the right panel and you can feed it behind and back through to the motherboard and drives. Incidentally, there is a space right behind the motherboard to install an SSD which keeps it out of the way but it also comes with a fitting plate to put one in the external bays if you want along with your DVD writer etc. Mine is in the external bay as I chose to use the mounting holes to cable tie the cables. The front bays are filtered so it is possible, with some modification, to fit a intake fan in the bays to provide extra air flow. There is a 120mm front intake fan at the bottom which does the job and I don't see the need for another one. Be aware that when you remove the front grills to install a DVD drive, they don't go back on later. If you change your mind about which bay you want it in, you can't put the grill back.I moved the rear exhaust fan to the spare space at the top, therefore providing 2 top exhausts and I bought a Corsair SP120 Performance Edition fan for the rear exhaust. This isn't as review of that fan, but it's noisier than those that come with the case. Using voltage (as it wasn't a PWM fan) I ended up turning it off until the CPU reaches about 60C. So with the 3 x 120mm fans, 1 Corsair fan and 2 x 140mm Phanteks fans for the cooler and the CPU fan my motherboard temp is a constant 23C whether idle or under load and impressively quiet. Note that the 2 x 80mm front side fans (in the cheeks) were disconnected as they were the noisiest of the fans and as I only have one HDD in the cage, it didn't make any difference whatsoever. The front intake fan blows over the drive for cooling.I quite like the on/off button (which is quite large) on top. There is also a reset button to the right, 2 x USB 3.0 ports and 2 x USB 2.0 ports to the top left. Let's not forget the headphone and mic sockets too. There is also a small tray area on top to put your mobile phone etc while charging via USB.The side panels are held on by thumb screws so no screwdriver needed. One thing that I would stress about this case and a mistake I made trying to save a little money, is buy a modular PSU otherwise the cables end up being stored at the bottom of your case, behind the side panel and under the HDD in the cage. Spend an extra £10! Also, if you want a bottom fan (there is space for one), then you'll have to get a smaller PSU as it will obstruct the fan vent and screw holes. My PSU is the Corsair CX750. To be honest though, you really don't need one. The fan vents all come with filters on them, so less dust in the case. The case is good quality, well ventilated, I like the look of it (though not to everyone's taste) and it's £50! It's a bargain for that price.
