Nice blurring matte lippy!
Finally a nice blurring matte lipstick. I do have to say that if you dab it onto your lips instead of applying like a normal lipstick you get better results. It is a bit drying though, so I tend to apply (again in dabbing motion) a chapstick on top. It fades nicely on your lips after eating and drinking.

A beautiful, soft focus look on my lips!
I've seen and tried other "blurring" lip products but none of the ones I've tried have ever had the soft focus look that product pictures showed and if they did, they were very drying. Not the Kaja Love Blur Lip Balm though! I am super impressed! It gives a soft, blurred matte finish on my lips that looks just as the advertisements show AND it does not dry my lips out at all. (I do normally use moisturizing colorless lip balms when I am not wearing color on my lips, so maybe my lips are well hydrated in general?)The color "Romantic Vibe" is a classic rose color that leans a little warm. The color isn't as pigmented as a lipstick, but it's definitely buildable and I like that! The actual lip balm is bullet shaped without any angles (unlike lipstick) and at first I was worried that I wouldn't be able to apply it as neatly to my lips, but the formula is very forgiving and I had no trouble keeping it within my lip line. It also stays put on my lips without bleeding or feathering. I'm in my late 40's and that's important to me now.Overall, I am pleasantly impressed with this lip product. I've been wearing it every day to work and it really complements the "low" makeup look that I strive for during my days in an office.

Comfortable wear, try a darker shade than you usually would choose
I got this product in 02 Sweet Bestie. In the tube, the color is like the pictures but since it is quite sheer, it comes out a bit pale on the lips. Not a huge issue if I am wearing other makeup but it is a bit off on me. I have fair, olive/neutral toned skin and relatively pigmented lips. Aside from it being a little pale, I think the color temperature is flattering and would probably look nice on warm to neutral undertones. The texture is sort of firm, not slide-y or slippy. It applied like a matte lipstick but without saturated color payoff. It's sort of like a powder lip texture and does not feel like there is anything on the lips after application. It seems to stay in place through light eating/drinking, and since it is sheer, it's not obvious or patchy as it fades. It neither improved nor exacerbated my lip lines. The blur effect is more in the mattifying aspect of the lip product, I think.Overall, I think it's nice even though I think I should have gotten a different color. If you like a matte, sheer look that is comfortable to wear, this is a nice option.

A pretty nude color! Feels more like lipstick than a lip balm.
I like this lip color! I have "Sweet Bestie" and it's very natural looking. I have some color in my lips, they aren't pale at all, so I think this color is much less noticeable than if you have paler lips. But it is buildable & is good for everyday use when I'm running around doing errands & don't want to use too much makeup. it still gives me a polished, finished look which I like. It is very matte ... what is great for me is that there isn't much transfer, which is something I personally have a problem with. It stays put more than most other lip colors. But of course that also means it is not that moisturizing. I am someone that always has to have something on my my lips & have had a chap stick habit since childhood. So I already have a ton of lip balms. This feels more like a lipstick & is rather drying on my lips, but I can always add some gloss if I want more shine or moisture. It has no taste or scent which I love! And the case is so cute, a pretty frosted pink with a heart. So although not as moisturizing as most lip balms, I am still happy with it & may try other colors as well.

Not a Balm
I really like other Kaja products. Some of their products are clever and their cushion stamp blushes are my favorite, however, this Kaja lip balm is definitely no lip balm. The consistency and coverage of this is more like a lipstick. You cannot just slather this on like you would a lip balm because it is not clear but more opaque so I have to put this on in the mirror or risk looking like a clown. I prefer something I can put on anytime whether or not I have a mirror. A lip balm should also be moisturizing and soothe dry lips and this does not at all. This is basically a lipstick. There are far better premium brands (Tarte, MAC) that have really great balms. Skip this one.

Cute but not as moisturizing as I would have liked
I’m a lip balm junkie and ordered these in the clear color (pure cupid). It makes the lips look a bit fuller and smoother and the packaging is super cute. But I didn’t feel like it provided the deep moisture I seek from a lip balm. For those who are just looking for basic moisture, this would be great. It provides an understated polished look to the lips. The formula isn’t greasy and certainly doesn’t get everywhere. But it almost absorbs into the skin making you want to keep reapplying. I’m a big fan of Kaja ever since I tried their blush stick (it’s my favorite right now, even though I own at least 10 different liquid/cream blushes). They seem to make quality products, so I think this formula just wasn’t right for me.

More of a lipstick than a balm
At first, Kaja's Love Blur Lip Balm in the shade Sweet Bestie seemed a little too dry for my liking, but after wearing it some more, I am pretty into it!The tint is pinker than I expected from the pictures, but it's flattering on my pale, warm-toned skin. It's definitely matte. I have tried it by itself and with a gloss over it. It glides on smoothly and doesn't settle into lines above my lip. It's buildable, however, I think I would prefer a darker, browner shade and a different texture. While it claims to hydrate lips for 24 hours, it definitely doesn't have that much staying power.I'd give this an 8 out of 10. I love the little heart and the design of the tube.I'm glad to use a product that is cruelty-free and vegan. It has an expiration date of 2/2027.
