    Elegant book to help you explore the countryside round Bristol and Bath on foot

Admittedly I've not walked any yet, but having read through the book, the walks are well described and explore territory familiar to me which I know to be beautiful. Maps are clear, description seems sufficiently detailed.As they skirt the Cotswolds and the Mendips, I expect some of these walks to have some fairly robust climbs in there - one even talks about a "hands and feet" climb.The walks are posted as between 4 and 8 miles - I'll have to see whether that's accurate.I've taken a photo of the back of the book, which shows where each walks is centred. It would have been useful for me when I was browsing, so hopefully it is for you.

This book is a must for all ramblers, with easy to follow instructions and maps. The walks start and end at a pub, which is always positive. Good size for your pocket.

We absolutely love this pocket sized book, it made a great little stocking filler! It's really helped us to explore our local area. The only criticism I have is that the 'Old Sodbury' walk becomes slightly confusing around halfway through so we got lost for a while but eventually found our way and rejoined the trail. The traditional pub 'The Dog Inn' at the end of the route was a real treat, I recommend stopping for a drink and a snack!
