Light Kit for Lego Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit, Lighting Set for Lego 42179 Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit Set - Not Include Models, Just Light Kit

First time purchase of a lighting enhancement for a Lego model, bought as part of a Christmas gift with the Lego set. Enhances the Lego model nicely and makes it prettier. Instruction video worked reasonably well showing where to wrap the wires. Felt they were a tad on the short side whilst installing them, but it all worked out OK.It would have been nicer if the incoming USB cable was longer though... 3 to 4 times the length ideally. This particular model is designed for hanging up, and there's not really anywhere around most hooks with a USB socket or powerbank!

The lighting kit for this model was of very sturdy construction unlike other kits which were very flimsy and could be damaged easily.Easy to fit and gives the model an upgraded appearance when switched on.

Another great gift for my 8 year old Lego fan grandson. Requires care and dexterity.

I am eating this based on the fact the item arrived on time and came in a sturdy box. I cannot rate the contents because I Di not open the box and use it.Before buying be aware that this is for the light only that is compatible with the Lego set and does not include the Lego set, which stupidly was the mistake I made myself (thought it was an absolute bargain 🤦🏻‍♀️)

Red lights worked well and really bright. Neither string of white lights worked at all. no way to contact the supplier and unable to return due to being away with work. Now stuck with a set of expensive lights which are sub-par.

Very easy to installGreat quality

Batteries are very large compared to the size of the model. Smaller more discreet batteries would be more suitable.

tho I find these light kits to be a little on the pricey side(which they are !)I really love this set for the tallneck,I have quite a few lego pieces,mainly star wars,that their are light kits for,I really think this set is particularly sweet,once you have built the model it adds so much more detail to it,from the lights underneath the main model,to the flashing light on top & on the watcher model,it just makes the whole thing really pop & stand out.I'm in no way an expert in installing these light kits,but their is a YouTube video instruction showing you a step by step guide how to install them,I found this a complete breeze to do with it(link to the video is in the booklet you receive with them) it is a little fiddy,but I just took my time & stuck with it,& imo think it looks fantastic,highly recommended 😀
