Outstanding Voice Recorder - Perfect for Every Need!
First off, the 2-inch touch screen makes navigation a breeze. I can easily start and stop recordings with just a tap, which is super convenient when I need to focus on the speaker without fumbling around. The recording quality is impressive—crystal clear audio that makes it easy to hear every word, even in larger rooms. One of the standout features for me is the transcription functionality. After recording my lectures, I can quickly convert the audio into text, saving me tons of time on note-taking. The accuracy of the transcription is quite good, and it’s been a huge help in reviewing material later

POOR AI CAPABILITIES WITH EXPENSIVE PRICE TAG
I was so excited about this purchase. I use it in a courtroom setting. The device is literally inches away from a witness and there are no extrinsic sounds to interfere with the recording/translation. The audio recording is quite good; however, if you decide to purchase this device and embrace technology with an eye turned to making transcription easier, this is NOT the device for you. It is going back. It only took an hour of use to figure out it is an expensive device that doesn't meet my needs...not even close. I hope this review is of some help to others considering an AI device. As compared to competitive AI recorders, this device gets a 2 out of 10. It is an outstanding idea. Maybe in 2 or 3 years the translation capabilities will match the expensive price tag of this device...

A Game-Changer for Note-Taking!
The setup was remarkably easy, and I was recording within minutes. The 2-inch touch screen is user-friendly and responsive, making navigation a breeze—even for someone not particularly tech-savvy. The audio quality is fantastic! Whether I'm recording lectures or interviews, the clarity is impressive, ensuring that I capture every word without missing a beat. The playback feature is a lifesaver; I can easily review recordings and pull out key points for my notes. What truly sets this device apart is the transcription feature. The accuracy is astonishing, saving me so much time on manual note-taking. I can easily convert my recordings into text, which is incredibly helpful when I'm preparing for exams or writing papers

Almost there but my phone does it better for free even off line.
The iFLYTEK SR302 feels solid and well-built, with a responsive interface and sleek, modern design. The screen is reminiscent of an iPod Nano—bright, crisp, and clear. Battery life is solid, and overall, the build quality is impressive. Recording quality is decent, and the live transcription feature is a nice touch. While the transcription accuracy isn’t perfect, it's not unusable either—good enough for basic review. I didn’t see a significant improvement when using the re-transcription feature, though there might be minor gains. One of the device’s strongest points is its commitment to privacy: it runs completely offline, making it a secure choice for transcription without cloud dependencies. If privacy is a top concern, this may be as good as it gets for an offline device in this category. Unfortunately, it falls short for my needs. Despite trying various microphone configurations, a decent-quality smartphone from the last three years (like a Galaxy S23 or even a 2022 model with local AI features) consistently outperformed the SR302 in both audio recording and transcription, especially in dynamic environments like conference calls or noisy D&D sessions in a game store. The only area where the SR302 held a slight edge was in capturing audio from a lecture or keynote-style environment. A major disappointment was the lack of Bluetooth connectivity or any seamless way to manage or share files through a phone, must USB to a PC. This limits its convenience as a portable solution. And most notably, it does not support speaker differentiation, which was a key feature I was hoping for and is pretty much standard with today's transcribers. That omission alone puts it behind many current mobile options that offer at least basic diarization features natively. I wanted a dedicated push-button recorder I could rely on. Something that frees up my phone, doesn’t require a subscription, and delivers solid offline results. While the SR302 comes close, it’s not quite there. If it had included speaker differentiation, it might’ve been a keeper despite the not-so-stellar transcription accuracy. Bottom line: For students, journalists, or those regularly attending lectures or conferences, this could be a great tool. But for anyone needing reliable offline transcription across varied environments, your smartphone is still the better, and often cheaper, choice. As it stands, the SR302 is the best dedicated offline solution I’ve tested so far, but not quite good enough to justify the price.

Poor Transcript Quality
The transcriptions on the recorder were often wrong and inadequate. I hope they provide updates to the firmware to make the transcript better in the future. Recording was good, but failed my expectations on the transcript.

The iFLYTEK Offline Voice Recorder is as advertised.
I should have bought this voice recorder first. I thought that I needed in cloud storage and transcription, until I tried two of the competitor's devices. I could never get them to sync in the cloud for storage. That was a blessing in disguise. For me the transcription was not accurate. The devices were very small and difficult to handle. There were Chinese manufactured. This iFlYTEX Offline Voice Recorder is easier to use, a little larger, accurate dictation transcription and it cost less. Also not limited by lack of WiFi. Don't waste your time with the others.

Amazon come in clutch with DOA replacement
Premium Price for DoA Device. I bought this device and had it expedited over night for a meeting held today. Shipping, 5/5, packaging 5/5, device 0/5. I unboxed the device and let it charge for several hours. Attempting to power it on simply displays the iFLYTEK logo for a split second before powering back off. I let device charge over night. Issue persists. For the tech junkies like myself, dmesg output shows immediate connect/disconnect loop that makes it apparent the device is stuck in a boot loader loop. For $200, one would think the least you could expect is a device that actually powers on. Device replacement ordered through Amazons return policy. I'll update this appropriately if the next device is worthy it's weight in gold. EDIT: I decided not to wait around for a response from iFLYTEK and requested a replacement through Amazon. As usual Amazon was quick to ship out the replacement and it arrived the next day. This device works as intended. I've found the conference mode to be the most reliable in terms of audio and transcription quality. I cannot testify as to it's transcription ability on longer recordings. So long as speakers are well articulated the transcription is seemingly around 90% accurate which is acceptable for expediting my notes taking. Once multiple speakers get involved or speaking over one another obviously the transcription begins to falter and gets quite confused. Pretty standard STT issue and I don't really fault the devices transcription abilities as it's more of a universal problem with speech to text transcriptions. It'll serve me for all intents and purposes so I'm satisfied with the product. Touch screen is responsive and eaasy to navigate.

Wow !
Amazing! This is my second try at finding a AI recorder/transcriber. The first one required a pay as you go on line transcription service, very expensive. It also was a system needing your phone connected. This unit is off line and self contained. Not only does it record your voice or any other source, but then transcribed to text as well, and does a very god job at that.

Offline mode is excellent
My job demands extremely tight information security. I checked out all the voice recorders on Amazon, and most require an internet connection. First, I tried Plaud Note, an online recorder that promises data encryption and only processes data with permission. But it's a hassle—you have to download an app to use it. Then, I opted for an iFLYTEK recorder. Unlike Plaud, iFLYTEK works offline, with one-click recording and a touchscreen that's just right for me. However, both iFLYTEK and Plaud struggle with transcribing some professional terms. I've tried many online apps before, but none of them have been satisfactory. Considering iFLYTEK's higher price, I expect better transcription accuracy. They really need to improve in this area. While online recorders like Plaud Note offer more features, iFLYTEK's offline setup nails my security needs, so I'm sticking with it. I'll continue using it for a while and come back with an updated review.

Overpriced / terrible AI
Was hoping to save myself a lot of time by dropping hundreds more than a typical recorder. Completely wasted my money on this paperweight. The transcripts are completely inaccurate. Require far too many edits to make it worth your time not to just transcribe yourself. I sometimes use the text function on my phone on prerecorded statements for work and get a far more accurate transcription

Not bad
I was finding a device could really boost my efficiency I bought another smart recording device from iFlytek, a professional brand I'd heard of before. I found some awesome features like real-time transcription also you can mark key points during playback, which really speeds up meetings. Although it cannot translate 100% correctly, the accuracy is still acceptable.Plus, the sound quality is really solid. I'd recommend it if you need to summarize recordings, but it's a bit on the pricey side.
