Questionable life span UPDATED review
At the end of September I bought 2 sets, a dozen and already two of them have gone very dim after working fine for weeks. The rest are doing okay so I'm confused.UPDATE - the seller reached out to me and we worked out a solution that I am more than happy with.As far as the lights go I am very pleased with them and the look and design, I found them very easy to install. I will be adding more of these to my landscaper design.

Great Look
Well made and very sturdy, the only change I made was when you bury the wire I replaced the connectors they supplied with water proof gel filled connectors. They’ve been in the ground for 2 planter area where it’s wet and no issues. Oh and that’s a Fairy house lit up also !

Replaced old temperamental lights with these and couldn't be happier
I started my landscape lighting with halogen, and when LED took off it was great, but I was still dealing with bulbs. These newer lights are completely self-contained, the connectors are easier to use much more likely to hold long-term. It was really "plug and play" easy and the brightness is very good. Just the right amount of light for the garden area.

Hillside Stairs are Difficult to Light. These Seem to be the Solution!
Hillside stairs are difficult to light. The obvious challenge is that the light fixture needs to be taller than usual since there are different step-levels to light-up. But there's also another challenge - and that's that dirt on a slope tends to slip, so normal ground stakes tend to fail.1) These " candy canes" are tall; the page says 17.7 inches, and I believe it. That means the angle of the light is better, and the ground stake can be deeper.2) These lights are bright. The webpage says 3 watts, 200 lumens; they look brighter than the so-called 3-watt, 400-lumen bulbs I have in my existing bollards. And all the light is aimed where I need it, on my steps! My first photo shows the bollards that I'm replacing. Years ago I made plastic pipe "extensions" to stake my bollards deeper into the dirt AND make them taller. It worked, but it was time for me to upgrade the appearance of my light fixtures. The second photo shows the first 3 or so Edishine fixtures; above them the older fixtures that I've not yet replaced. Sure the new fixtures are closer to the camera so they'll look brighter, but wow!The third photo is the same section of stairs, last night. Again - the Edishines are closer to the camera and my camera's location favors their light dispersion, but it's not close - these new "candy canes" are brilliant. There are a few locations where I'm probably going to need longer stronger ground stakes, so I'm off to the local big box store to buy a couple feet of the right diameter plastic pipe. That's fine, no big deal.I am a bit concerned that so many modern LED devices are unrepairable; if the bulb goes out, it can't be replaced. Throwing-away a random fixture in a string of 24 is fine - IF I can buy a replacement that looks the same. This "candy cane" [I hate that name; let's call it "bent pipe"] seems well-designed, with no vulnerable components; I hope that they last. Edishine, think about keeping some inventory when/if you do decide to stop making them; your existing customers will be grateful. Thanks.
