I have tried basically everything you could think of - melatonin, meditation, white noise, a diffuser, turning off electronics a half hour before bed, writing out my thoughts earlier in the day, acupressure, reading, stretching before bed, deep breathing exercises - you name it, I have probably tried it. One night I was suffering from insomnia and did not fall asleep until 8:30 AM. I saw an ad online for gravity/weighted blankets. Well made! *by S***T on January 16, 2019* I did a lot of research. I wanted a nontoxic blanket with small glass beads not the slightly larger, clumpier plastic beads like those in the brook stone blanket that I returned bc the beads were large and they moved to one side of the blanket. The small glass beads feel more comfortable and these beads are sewn into a stitched diamond so the stay in place and are evenly distributed over your body. Not ideal for dhsring w a partner even if a larger size. I think each person needs there own. Not hot. Really works for anxiety, insomnia or ptsd. It keeps you in Rem so you don’t wake up at night. I bought a slightly heavier one and I think it is better to stick to 10% of your body weight. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice quality blanket *by G***L on September 22, 2018* This weighted blanket is very nice and seems really well made. I have sleep issues stemming from food sensitivities so I'm not sure if my review will be of much help to others, but I have found that it does help me stay asleep to a certain degree. I have no trouble falling asleep but after about 3 hours I wake up and toss and turn the rest of the night. I find that I am not doing that quite as often, but for me the true answer lies in the foods I consume.
