I've only had this unit for less than a week but I'm really loving it (it's name isn't Brad but Tobor for you SiFi move fans). I got it on sale for $199, hard to turn down considering I had major want bumps for the Dyson robot Vac which I don't even know is available in the US but at over $1000, considering I could buy five of these units, want bumps over. I do own two Dyson's; a Ball and the DC35. Both will still be used but less so thanks to this product. Setup was very easy in terms of the hardware and the iPhone application. The first time I tried this vac, I hadn't done a vacuuming with the Dyson for about 2 days. Note that our home is just under 2500 square feet, all tile with a number of low shag throw rugs. I charged the unit over night and let it go in auto mode. It moved all over the house in some random course and I let it run until the little guy ran out of battery. That was over 2 hours. I've enclosed a photo of the dust found; the unit was filled! Easy to clean up and I was pretty happy overall with the job done. But I don't believe the little guy covered every area of the house and I don't know it is fair to expect one unit to do so. Next I tried a different approah. Set the unit in Auto but shut some doors so it is forced to work in a room or two. For example, the master bedroom has a hallway leading to the master bath. On either side of this hallway is a walk in closet and the toilet area. All in all, I suspect 250 or so square feet. I closed the door leading to the rest of the house, set it on auto and gave it an hour to run. This was 2 days after the major house vac with the Dyson Ball. This worked VERY well and the unit was nearly full. Still having batery left (you can see how much on the iPhone app), I placed it into the Kitchen area and again closed off doors so the unit would only vac there and the 'breakfast nook' area. Did a great job there too. So I think this approach of 'spot cleaning' one or two rooms rather than hoping to do the entire house is a good one. I also am amazed how much the unit picked up after only 2 days from using the Dyson Ball. Fact is, the robot can get into areas the Dyson can't and to some degree, vise versa. I don't expect to use this product 100% instead of the other units but I think several times a week, I may set it loose in a room or two and then do a full on Vac with the Dyson Ball once a week after dusting/cleaning. I suffer from allergies and have three dogs so it isn't difficult to see how much each vacuums picks up after only a few days. After I ran the first test mentioned above (whole house on Auto), I used the Dyson Ball the next day after dusting and was surprised to see how little was picked up but then it was only a mater of maybe 12 hours between the two. Tobar has had only two, minor issues getting stuck. One was on a towel on the floor I didn't see. One of the dogs must have knocked it down. It beeped and it was easy to remove the towel. The unit is surprisingly quiet for a vac, the three dogs don't mind it at all. The new puppy (5 months) is fascinated with it. One time it found the puppy's 'pee-pee' pad I forgot to pick up. Again easy to remove and Tobar went off to finish it's job. No issues with carpets and some do have tassels. Does a very good job on carpet; you can see a pattern expected after a vac. Only minor 'issue' as some have reported, is having the unit find it's way home to charging base. Easy enough to pick up and park it for a charge. And now that I'm moving it manually to zoned off rooms, I have to pick it up and place it where I wish anyway. I either let it do the job until it runs out of battery or pick it up and return to home base. Two photo's; one after it's first use (two days after using Dyson Ball); loaded with dirt. 2nd is about 12 hours after using Dyson; not full but still a lot of dust and gunk picked up. Overall I couldn't be happier at this point with the product!

I absolutely love this little guy. Setup was quick and easy—once it’s going, it just takes care of everything on its own. It does an excellent job vacuuming and mopping my wooden floors. The only rug I have is a flat cloth one in the bathroom, and it handles it without any issues. Cleaning performance is impressive—it covers the space thoroughly without missing spots, and the suction power is strong. I keep mine on the medium setting, and it picks everything up just fine. My rabbit isn’t a fan, but I appreciate how well it collects all the loose hair from the floor. I kind of wish Fluffy would hop on for a ride like those cats you see online, but oh well! It moves in what feels like a very organized pattern, doesn’t get lost, and always manages to find its way back to the dock. I only have two minor complaints, and they’re not really about the device itself: 1. The company recommends using only their detergent, which is fine—but for a $500 product, it would’ve been nice to include at least a small sample to fill the reservoir once. 2. It only comes with one bag. I’m not asking for a huge supply, but including a spare would’ve been a thoughtful touch for peace of mind.

March 2020 update. Well, I've given up. It's now just a $160 doorstop. It worked great for 6 months. Back in December I contacted customer support. Two of the three people who replied were obviously just giving me their rehearsed response. One actually responded to my issues. They had me do a reset which consists of holding the start button until it beeps 3 times, release that button, turn it off and on, then run as usual. It seemed to help after doing this many times. I think I had a week where it ran normally. Now that resent does not help at all and it is not picking up very well either. Since I gave up on it I let my husband take it apart. There were no clogs anywhere and nothing that looked like it could be repaired. So, lesson learned. I'm saving up for a Roomba. Dec. 2019 update. For the last month or so my beloved Dee has been stopping for no apparent reason. I keep this VERY clean. I empty the bin and clean the filters daily. I purchased extra filters so I can change them out and wash them. I also remove any fibers or hair that become entangled around the brushes. For the first 15-20 minuets it stops and beeps like it is caught on something, but it's not. After that it runs fine. I have to say I am very disappointed. It ran so well for the first 6 months. I have been using my Deebot for a few weeks now and I could not be happier! I read many reviews before purchasing and I believe I had realistic expectations of what this little machine could and could not do. This is the low end of the robot vacuum spectrum. It does not do room mapping. I think some of the negative reviews expected too much and should have bought a more sophisticated machine. I just wanted something to vacuum my hard floors all on 1 level, no stairs. I was a little bit concerned that my very dark floors would be a problem. But Dee has done well. My area rugs are also dark so it does not see a contrast there. Sometimes it gets on to the area rugs and sometimes it does not. But that's okay with me. I just want the dust and cat hair that float around the floors gone and it does a fantastic job. I do the rugs with a more powerful vacuum. About once a week I get into the areas that Dee can not. That was my plan. But now that Dee is sucking up all that dust and cat hair every day there is much less in the areas that are blocked off from it. As a bonus it gets under my china cabinet. I've been battling some very persistent spicers for years and Dee has been victorious! He gets the crumbs under the toe kick area of my kitchen cabinets, another constant battle. He also fits under my sofa and loveseat. My other vacuums do not. I had to move the furniture to get under those. If I want him to get under my curtains I tuck them up under the blinds that day. If not he cleans around them. Yes he bumps into things. This is how he finds his way around. He is suppose to do that. He has not damaged anything, even my newly painted white baseboards. His bumper works well. Often as he approaches a wall he detects it and turns around. I guess the contrast of my dark floors and white baseboards and light beige curtains are what lets him detect them. Although he has several settings I set a time so each day he does his work then finds his way back home. Yes, he sometimes gets stuck on something, but not often. I close doors to bedrooms and bathrooms. I just want my living, dining and kitchen floors done. He is more quiet than any of my other vacuums, yes I have a few. But it's a vacuum. It's not silent. I'll try to post a video soon. After using Dee for a few days I got out my cordless Hoover and vacuumed as usual. I bought the Hoover just for the hard floors when I had less of them. It has a great light on the front that shows dust I can not otherwise see. I was shocked at how clean my floors were. Dee is my hero. That Hoover is a rock star too, but that's another story. I still have to push it around which makes Dee my new best friend. These photos show Dee parked in my dining room, recharging after a hard day's work, how dark my floors are, and some areas he does not fit into. I did not expect him to morph into a 2" machine and vacuum around my tchotchkes. Guess I'm just nice that way. When company is coming I put him in the laundry room. I'm fine with his home in my dining room. It's very much out of the way and mostly unseen unless we are having company. I could ramble on even longer but I hope you get the idea. If you want room mapping and auto emptying buy a more expensive model. If you just don't want to have to vacuum your floors everyday hire Dee. He's worth every penny. Oh, he comes with his own remote control and you can download an app for your smartphone. I have enough apps on my phone. With this remote I see no reason to get the app. Or maybe I'm missing some added features with the app? I don't know. Happy less vacuuming everyone!

I bought this against my wife's wishes. She said that we didn't need a robotic vacuum. However, we are both disabled and vacuuming the main level of our house was very tiring on her because of knee problems, and I have back problems. We received the Deebot N79S on the date that it was expected. I promptly opened the package, got the charger station set up, attached the brushes which was very easy to do, downloaded the app, and put the Deebot onto the charger to let it charge to reach full battery strength. I believe the battery might come already charged, but I left it on the charger for 4 hours. When I went to set up the Deebot onto my wifi Orbi system which creates one network name for my entire house, I was unable to connect it on that strong network. I believe this is because of the wifi's 5 Ghz system, and it will only set up on a 2.4 Ghz system. Fortunately, I have a wifi extender that is not part of Orbi that is still connected and I was able to connect my Deebot to that. The Deebot comes with a remote that you can use to get it going, so having the wifi set up is not as important, especially those with no internet. Setting the time on the remote was very easy and that was all that I did with that. It was late at night (I am a night owl), and I pressed the auto button on my Deebot and it started going to town. I watched as the Deebot as it went from area to area. I have hardwood floors, low pile carpet, carpet runners, and linoleum in the downstairs of my house, and the Deebot was able to handle them all. After the Deebot was finished it found itself back to the charging station to start recharging. I can say that Deebot performed very well. All of my carpeted areas were great looking and it cleaned the dust on my hardwoods. When I went to empty the collection bin, it was quite full. It was easy to open and to discard into my trashcan. Some of the spinner brushes had been warped out of shape in the process of maneuvering around objects. It comes with a spare set of brushes, but I left the current ones in because they were not terribly warped. I might change them out after my third vacuuming. I would highly advise that you get the accessory kit with the extra spinning brushes, the filters, and a spare brush roller. I have that on my order list to get this week. Overall, the Deebot works great!! I am giving it 4-stars because of the need to change the spinner brushes more often than you would expect. The spinner brushes are its one flaw. I would highly recommend the Deebot N79S to anyone who hates vacuuming and who does not have high pile, or shag carpets. If you found this review helpful, please click the YES icon. I bought this a couple weeks or so before xmas and it was swiftly delivered the day after xmas. Having gotten walloped by a flu, I've been responsibly huddled in my bed while responsibly feeling sorry for myself, and have been respectfully listening to my Asian girlfriend clean my house for me. She has an Asian woman's sense of cleanliness, amped up with an OCD toward cleanliness and turbo charged with a cosmic abhorrence toward cat hair. She's thorough. Having mostly conquered the pestilence within, I assembled "that moppy schlingy thing" (say that like an Asian woman), let it charge, downloaded the app, let it map the downstairs, and then I put it into its first clean/mop cycle. What got dumped into the dirty water tank (translation: what an OCD Asian cutness didn't clean off the floor) was gross. It was humbling (not for me, I'm a guy). Honestly, this little robot is thorough, it's quiet and it's freakishly good. The app seems pretty intuitive to use, and it allowed me to actually name the floor cleaner. (My buddy Greg said that "House Slave" is extremely insensitive, so I've named it Greg instead.) Looking at the map of my house what Greg cleans, I can see how accurate the map was - dining room, kitchen, The Dojo (aka powder room), main room, etc etc are all there, and you can watch the thing clean real-time on the app. Assembling and initially setup of Greg and the system was pretty easy - I really think it helps to have the app downloaded first. Really, all I did was install the robot's tray and then plug it in, and then put the cleaner into its nook to charge. The rest was the initial robot setup (date, time, region, cleaning preferences, etc). Actual Greg suggested that I add denture cleaner (those fizzy tablets that I buy my dad but go unused apparently) to cut down on the odor from the dirty water tank. As I've gone through two full cleaning cycles, I've yet to experience this, so I might use the tablets instead in my bath tub if I start to feel crappy again. Bottom line - well worth the buy so far. My floors, a combo of hardwood and carpets have never looked so good. I've got a persian rug that was getting kind of dusty (Asian girlfriend calls it gross and in need of the dump), but I think all it needed was a good vacuuming or two. I think a daily dose of Greg will do the trick, honestly. Setup was easy, the app is intuitive and the cleaning robots are thorough and quiet. I forgot quiet. No one has aver cleaned my house and been that quiet.

OK, count me in as impressed with this Deebot N79s. Only had this thing about 10 days and it works great. I did my homework first to make sure this Deebot N79s would work in the house. Read it was 3.1 inches high so I measured my two couches and they were both at 2 inches. Ordered 2 sets of 2 inch risers and now they sit at 4 inches. My coffee table sits on a low pile carpet and was only about 3 inches. Quick trip to the store to buy a set of square rubber carpet pads and solves that table problem. Wrapping the cords up so they were not on the floor to solve the problem of getting caught in the brush, done. Now I buy the Deebot N79s for only $159 on Amazon during Prime days. Arrives and set it up just fine. Being a retired computer engineer and knowing the instructions said the unit works on the 2.4G SSID band only, I test it trying to connect it up with my iPhone connected to my 5G band. And yes, it did not work as expected. So I now switch the iPhone to the 2.4G band and it connects right up and works perfect. Now I can go back to my iPhone and switch back the 5G band and it works just fine, as expected. Yeah, it cleans great just like everyone says. We have 3 short hair cats and really never vacuum the entire place. All hardwood floors except for the 2 low pile rugs a 2’x3’ small and the coffee table one, about 3’x 6’. Both these rugs had fringe on them. I simply cut the fringe off of both. They actually look better and the fringe doesn’t trap the dirt anymore. We are running this every day and the dust bin is full, we can’t believe it. So after the 5th day I break out the Swiffer Wet Jet and I wet jet the entire wood floor under everything and all corners. “OK” I say to myself, now let’s see what it picks up. After the run, the dust bin is full again! So now I vacuum the two rugs with our upright vacuum and hardly get anything in its bin. Fire up the Deebot and again the dust bin is full! Where the heck is all this stuff coming from? It fits under all the furniture and coffee table as they were raised a bit. It just barely got stuck for the first time under one section of the kitchen cabinets. This section must have been 3 inches high from the floor ;-). A simple strip of soft ½ inch self adhesive foam insulation tape stuck under the section solves that problem and you can’t even see it. Now if the unit hits that spot again it will hit the foam tape and back away. Simple fix. All I do is pick up the garbage can from the floor, move the high kitchen chairs out from the island and fire up auto mode. It goes around the island fine, through the kitchen chairs and even the dining room chairs. I would suggest you run the bot around via the remote to all places you think is may get stuck at. Now you can fix those areas so is does not happen. The app on the phone works well and you can set different times of the day for each day of the week. Although it only runs AUTO mode, I wish I could schedule EDGE mode for at least one day a week. The charging station is against the wall. I have one foot clearance on each side and two foot clearance in the front as the IR shoots though the end of the dining room table with chairs. It has always made it back home with no issue. I bought 6 extra filters, 6 extra brushes and brush roller for about $24. The brushes came all bent out of shape but dipping them in hot water for about 4.2 second straightens them out just perfect. This will probably work for brushes that are all bent out of shape from use but still in good shape. Update: This unit works so good I just bought a 2nd one for the upstairs for only $80! $30 off coupon and used my Discover points!

I wish I could give 5 stars. My personal experience has been very positive with one large exception. The problem that almost caused my wife to throw our Deebot n79s away is the tendency for the front lens to acquire scratches in incidental collisions that the bumper doesn't seem effective enough to handle. The scratches can eventually cover the lens to the point that the robot is effectively blinded. The IR range finders and homing system cease to function. This is not dust. I clean the Deebot every time I empty the collector and periodically use PC/Keyboard Duster spray to blow dust from the optics. Over time (in my case, the first 30 days, 2 scheduled runs a day), the frequency and severity of collisions increase as the robots "vision" suffers more and more. Each collision damages the lens further, making future collisions and subsequent lens damage more and more likely and frequent. My Deebot got so bad in just 30 days that it was practically useless and it became a true nuisance. We began to come home to find it caught on furniture it used to avoid, tangled in cables or, if those weren't the case, it would be dead somewhere having never found the charging station. The cleaning job had degraded too (the tangles prematurely damaged the sweeping brushes and roller-brush). Last night I set it on auto and watched it charging about crashing hard into everything. I inspected the lens and noticed how bad it had become just since Saturday (4-days) and surmised that this was the cause of my issues. To repair the lens, I applied mildly abrasive car wax to and used a Dremel tool with a soft polishing wheel to buff out the scratches (messy and 30 min of time I don't want to invest in maintaining a "convenience"). Now my Deebot is back to it's sensible navigation and my wife has forgiven it for it's bad behavior. I need to replace the brushes and will have to either find something to extend the bumper without affecting the docking, or put a bumper or IR transparent cover around the lens or just bet be prepared to periodically polish the lens to prevent it form happening again (not a hassle free low cost of ownership design). The propensity for self-damage was known to the designers or the speed wouldn't reduce as the proximity sensors pick up near-by objects. The limitations of the proximity system in identifying obstacles were known or there wouldn't be a bumper system to halt and turn the robot. The fact that these features are intended to but weren't implemented in a way to prevent or endure known failure modes is simply disappointing. So, considering only price/feature at the excellent out-of-box performance level, it's a clear winner and we are very, very happy with that (5-stars). But the total malfunction within 30 days of normal, perhaps optimal, operating conditions and the level maintenance needed to prevent it, dramatically diminishes the as-shipped value. This is easily fixed in the design... and maybe has in more expensive models.

Replacing my i robot S9 which replaced my samsung bot. The X5 D shape pro omni is far greater then the others. It took me 2weeks and 3calls to customer service to get it fine tuned to my expectations. There was nothing wrong with the x5, it was me figuring out how to use the app. Customer service was great and solved my problem each time i called only placed on hold for 3 seconds. I have a 2400 sq ft house. Half carpet an the other half tile and wood floor. I vacuum first then i wash the floors. I use the least amount of water because i have have real hardwood floors. It dose a great job on all. The suction power is set at the highest setting,because wehave a miniture italian grey hound only weighs 16.2 lbs. He sheds year round. Well traind never has gone to the bathroom in the house. Can hold it for over 14 hrs. The avoidence feature works great on his toys,our cords and sneakers. We were really amazed how well it does around chairs and table legs on carpet an tile & Wood. Very quiet on high power. No problem watching tv. Battery last a long time. All in it is a great vacuum. We can set and forget. The price was even better on Amazon under $500.

I can’t say enough good things about the ECOVACS DEEBOT N30 Pro Omni! As someone who has tried multiple robot vacuums over the years, I’m genuinely impressed with this one. It’s the latest launch for 2024, and it’s packed with features that make cleaning feel effortless. First off, the 10000Pa suction is a game-changer. Una ves que te acostumbras a esta pequeño robot no puedes dejarlo. Limpia entre 90 y 120 minutos dependiendo de la potencia seleccionada. Hay que buscar un lugar estratégico para colocar la base de carga, de preferencia un espacio muy amplio o tendrá dificultades para encontrar su base. Aspira muy bien alfombras y pisos tipo cerámica. Si el Deebot se topa con hilos muy largo o algo similar es casi seguro que se enrrollara con el y quizás deje de funcionar hasta que lo retires manualmente. Aún así estoy muy satisfecho con el producto y de hecho ya encargué otro para la plata alta de mi casa. Se integra perfectamente con Alaxa (Amazon Echó). En personal la configuración me resultó muy sencilla y la termine en menos de 10 minutos. Como recomendación colocar el Deebot lo más cerca del módem o router al momento de configurarlo.

El producto llego en excelentes condiciones, es una aspiradora muy potente, tenemos perros y los pisos están sin pelos, tiene muy buena autonomía, no es muy ruidosa, definitivamente estoy muy contento con la compra.

Nachdem wir einige Erfahrungen mit anderen Saugrobotern ( Spider2.0 ), DeeBot-slim gesammelt hatten , haben wir uns nun für den ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT N79S entschieden. Der Grund ? Die oben genannten Roboter sind eigentlich nur "Selbstfahrende Kehrbleche" die auf Fliesen und Laminat zwar brauchbare Ergebnisse liefern , aber auf Teppichboden praktisch nutzlos sind. Ganz anders der ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT N79S , dieser hat zwar auch 2 rotierenden Seitenbürsten , aber auch eine mittig im Gerät angebrachte Klopfbürste welche praktisch jeglichen Schmutz aus normalen kurzflorigen Teppichen herausholt und in den recht großen Auffangbehälter befördert. Zuerst waren wir erschrocken , da nach den ersten Durchläufen große Mengen Techppichfasern im Auffangbehälter zu finden waren und wir die Befürchtung hatten das unsere Teppiche "abgefräst" werden. Aber nach und nach wurde es mit den Fasern weniger und der Teppich ist auch noch da 😁. Zum Gerät selber : Schwarz ,Rund, schwer und Robust , ein echter Teppich SUV der auch alle unsere Türschwellen mit Karacho überrollt aber dank eingebauter Sensoren die Möbel meist verschont . Kabel , Socken und anderen Kram sollte man bevor man das Monster startet tunlichts aus dem Weg schaffen , da sie beim Entleeren des Staubbehälters sonst Überraschungen erleben könnten . Selbst eine halb volle Packung Tempo wird problemlos geschluckt ! Ein Kritikpunkt ist allerdings das bedingt durch die große Öffnung des Staubbehälters man bei der Entnahme desselben eine gewisse Vorsicht walten lassen muss. Ansonsten gibt es eigentlich nur gutes zu berichten , das Gerät ist relativ flach und hat auch keine Lasertürme auf der Oberseite , so das er auch unter Schränken und Kommoden etc. seine Arbeit erledigt. Es gibt auch eine App , haben wir uns angesehen und entschieden das wir sie nicht brauchen. Eine Fernbedienung ist natürlich auch dabei und wie wir finden auch gut und für uns völlig ausreichend. Die Akkulaufzeit ist Top , er braucht allerdings auch ca. 3-4 Stunden um wieder aufgeladen zu sein. Die Ladestation wird in den meisten Fällen von alleine wiedergefunden und wir hatten in unserer Wohnung nur eine Stelle die Probleme bereitete ( zu tiefes Heizungsrohr ) . Da unserer kleine "Fräse" aber nun schon seit Monaten täglich ihre Runden dreht ( alle 2-3 Tage entleeren ) und wir bisher keinen Grund zur Klage haben ,können wir dieses Gerät für alle die einen günstigen einfachen Saugroboter mit guter Teppichreinigung suchen nur empfehlen. Update 18.10.2020 Gerät läuft immer noch Top , kein Verlust von Akku oder Reinigungsleistung bisher. Habe nun nach über 500 Betriebsstunden erstmals Haupt und Seitenbürsten ( 13,99 € ) erneuert. Update 21.03.2021 Gerät dreht weiterhin täglich seine Runden , keine Auffälligkeiten nur die nachgekauften nicht Originalen Haupt und Seitenbürsten sind bald wieder zum Austausch fällig , mal sehen ob es welche von ECOVACS gibt , diese haben eine deutlich höhere Standauer als die Nachbauten . Update 29.04.22 Gerät fährt immer noch täglich seine Runden , Akku zeigt keine Schwäche ,irgendwie schon fast unheimlich. Update 8 April 2023 : Nun ist es passiert , der Akku ist deutlich am schwächeln . Wir überlegen gerade ob sich eine Generalüberholung ( neuer Akku + Bürsten etc. ca 40 €) lohnt oder Neukauf ?
