Works Amazingly Well
The Honeywell 10L Evaporative Air Cooler has been a lifesaver this summer! It's impressively effective at cooling down my space, making those hot days bearable. The slim design is perfect for smaller rooms and it's incredibly easy to move around the house. While it does produce a little noise, it's certainly manageable and worth it for the relief it provides. Plus, the running cost is fantastic. Regular cleaning is necessary, but it’s a small price to pay for such a cool and efficient device. I'm really impressed with this purchase.

Good fan
This is a good quality, quiet fan and does everything expected. The only thing I can mark it down for is that, while it does cool the air, it does not seem to cool as much or quickly as I had hoped.

Very quiet
About the same noise level as a good quality tower fan, not had a heatwave since we purchased it, but does provide a cool breeze as if it was coming off the sea or a lake. Very light weight when empty, obviously heavier when you put 10 litres of water into the reservoir. The only negative point is the drainage hole for the tank is underneath the unit, so you have to put it outside or in the bath to empty the tank.

Not that good
Ok, it not expensive, and build quality is ok. As a glorified fan, it works, but i mistaknley thought that it may lower the temperature in my south-facing room, a bit, but it doesn't, at all! Yes, it moves the air around and does have some useful features, 3 speed fan, oscillating vents, vertical diection blades, which all work, but so too does a simple desk fan thats 30 or so pounds cheaper. I already had one of those.Adding cold water to the tank, even with ice in it fails to lower the temperature in any way. To summarise, its not useless, but if you want aircon, save the price of this towards the real deal, but if you want a novel fan, this may do.

Cools well, but smell and cleaning is a major problem
This device cools my daughter's loft bedroom well, but every week or so it starts to smell very stale, and it makes it very unpleasant to have it on in the room. Unfortunately there's no way to access the water tank, so you can't take it out to clean it. The instructions say to simply fill it up and drain it, which provides a cursory rinse at best. The only way we've found to get rid of the smell is to fill the tank, add a generous quantity of white vinegar, leave it on for a few hours outside until the tank is empty, then refill it again with plain water and repeat (to get rid of the white vinegar aroma). This means hoping for a sunny day, and having it not in use for much of the day while the cleaning is going on.If this had a removable tank that could be cleaned I would recommend it as the cooling is good. As it is, I would never buy this model again, and cannot recommend it.

Does the job.
So far I am very impressed with this. Not too noisy and cools down the room nicely. Waiting for the really hot weather to see just how good it is.

A bit better than a fan
It's okay. It's a bit better (cooler) than just having a fan on next to you. You do have to keep it quite close though.I think it's misleading how it looks like air comes out of that whole area at the front (product image 6). This would be great, but in fact, it's less than a third, along one side. It's a shame it doesn't take ice blocks. Also, it drains at the bottom of the unit, so you really have to do this outside or in the bath. I hope the rubber stopper never pops out unexpectedly during use, as this could be a disaster.I haven't experienced the bad smell others have yet.On the plus side, it's very light, so it's easy to move around. The fan is also very quiet, although there is quite a loud sound of trickling water during cooling.
