Spoiler alert*** because I have to purge somwwhere
I CANNOT believe she forgave him at all, non the less so easily. Seriously if this were an actual book and not my kindle for i would have thrown it across the room. I was literally shaking with rage when ide read about his betrayal. Ide have rather gone to jail, than be anywhere NEAR that man. Not only did he put her in direct danger by outing her, she also has to save her own life when he was sworn to protect her. God, I really want to give this book a bad review because I absolutely hate the ending because of what he's done, but I loved it up until then, an maybe I'm just an unforgiving bitch, but I cant. It was well written and enthralling. I just hate Dane... Like really hate him. Lol

Ewww. No thanks.
Omg, I hated this book, esp. the so-called hero. What a jerk. I only got about halfway through before I threw it across the room in disgust and then deposited it in the goodwill box. I normally like Linda Howard’s books. This one was from 1994 (please amazon, make it easier to identify the actual original publication date) but it read like something from the 70s. I was an adult woman in the 90s, well after feminism emerged. But judging from this book and some early novels by others among my favorite writers, I guess it was considered sexy for a man to physically intimidate a woman he was attracted to, to touch her without any concern for whether she wanted to be touched, and generally bully her. Even his internal thoughts were aggressive and domineering. And what the hell is with the heroine? Why isn’t she objecting when he forces himself into her house and starts being very inappropriately physical with her? I don’t recall thinking that was romantic in the 90s. It certainly doesn’t make my heart flutter now and I can’t imagine it would have then. Anyway, if you find disturbingly aggressive, insensitive, and dominant males with bullying tendencies attractive, then you might like this book. I found it just disturbing and distasteful. I am sure it ends with a happy ever after but I couldn’t stomach finishing it.

Manages to Be Funny and Scary and Romantic All at the Same Time
For fans of paranormal romantic suspense, DREAM MAN delivers the story of a serial killer and the woman psychic who -- unfortunately, sees into his mind.THE STORY: Marlie Keen has been normal for six years. Six years ago, she suffered horribly at the hands of a mad killer who found out that she was helping police track him. After that experience, she lost all of her psychic gifts. Just when Marlie is feeling safe, she experiences a murderer's hideous thrill at the rape and killing of a woman. Marlie attempts to inform the police of what she knows and meets Detective Dane Hollister who believes that she must be an accomplice of the murderer. At the same time, Dane is intensely attracted to the sharp tongued and sharp witted woman.OPINION:I really liked Marlie in this book. She is sharp and strong and yet she is shown being vulnerable and yet she is not emotionally needy. When threatened, Marlie manages to save herself and I appreciated that she was not left as a helpless heroine looking for a man to save her. Dane is used to being in charge and he is often thoughtless in his dogged pursuit of the murderer -- and yet, that is true to his character. His relationship with Marlie is immediately intense and he is a bit clueless about what his going on with him. I really liked him until he manages to betray Marlie's trust -- then I thought him a jerk because he refused to acknowledge that he was wrong. I wish Marlie had made him pay more, but while it upset me a bit, I could put that aside in my appreciation of the book as a whole. There is also a secondary romance in the book that I liked as well. The plot of the book was tense and well developed.WORTH MENTIONING: The epilogue of the book was hysterical and I loved it!FINAL DECISION: For fans of romantic suspense and/or paranormal romances this book satisfies. I especially liked the portrayal of Marlie and the hell that she went and goes through as a result of her psychic gifts. My only downgrade is that Dane betrays his relationship with Marlie in his attempt to catch the killer and while certainly not unforgivable, I think that Marlie forgives him too quickly. He was a jerk and I wanted him to pay more.CONNECTED BOOKS: This is a standalone book.STAR RATING: I give this one a 4.25 stars.

A bit creepy!
I have just finished reading this book and must say that as soon as I started reading it, which was when I was in bed, I had to put the book down. I got a bit weary as the story started when a woman was getting "visions" of a brutal murder taking place! I started reading it the following morning and made sure I read while it was daylight, in parts it was very "gruesome" and I would have got nightmares reading this while in bed! (Scaaaaardycat)!! Mind you, I still liked the book, especially Marlie and Dane together, so, if you are a fan of Linda's, buy it!

I first read this book many, many years ago - I loved it then and I loved it just as much now; I couldn't put it down.Linda Howard's books are some of the best I've ever read in this genre, and I would recommend her books to anyone.I have 2 more LH books that I'm just about to read - Shades of Twilight and The Touch of Fire - and I'm looking forward to another 5 star read!!!

Mesmerizing
Another one of Linda Howard's mesmerizing stories. This is another edge of the seat book and a great holiday read for the beach. I am never disappointed with a Linda Howard book and this is no exception. What a brilliant writer she is. My favourite author of all time.

What????
Note to self: don't trust ratings on Amazon!!! Ever. Again. How could anyone think that there is anything remotely romantic about a never ending description of a cop's raging hard-on for a shrivelling damsel in distress? This book is an insult both to men and women!

A good read
It was exciting to read and a great thriller. Linda Howard did it skilfully . Love the protoganists of the story . The side characters were also clearly described and they moved the story and added a new depth

Boring
Not very happy I bought this book. Not even typical formulaic romance. I wouldn't read this again. If you are an avid reader don't bother as the plot line is eye roll worthy in many parts.
