Reason for upgrading was to take advantage of the new pass-through connectors, what an upgrade! After running thousands of feet of CAT5 during the internet expansion days, the new connectors and crimper are a very welcomed upgrade. The crimper itself is heavy-duty'ish and works as advertised. Saved a bunch of time already crimping ends on a few non- cooperating wires. If there was one recommendation to give to manufacturers it would be to add a storage compartment for the extra blade(s) in the handle.
