Finally found the one!
After trying countless mascaras, I finally found one that works perfectly for my thin, straight Asian lashes! The Clio mascara holds my curl all day without weighing my lashes down. It adds great length and definition without clumping, smudging, or flaking. The formula keeps my lashes lifted from morning to night, even in humid weather, and it doesn’t give me raccoon eyes. It removes easily with a good eye makeup remover without excessive rubbing. If you have stubborn, straight lashes that never seem to hold a curl, I highly recommend giving this mascara a try. It’s definitely become my holy grail!

Finally found one that actually holds a curl all day
I’ve been using the Kill Lash Superproof mascara from CLIO for a few months now, and it’s honestly the best mascara I’ve tried. For context, I have straight lashes and deep-set, hooded eyes, so most mascaras either won’t hold a curl or end up smudging under my eyes after a few hours. Even tubing mascaras, which I’ve had some success with, don’t really keep my lashes lifted and tend to come off too easily. This one is completely different. It actually holds the curl I put in at the start of the day and keeps it there. I’ve worn it for 12+ hours, and my lashes still looked lifted, which is something I’m just not used to. Normally my lashes drop within 30 minutes no matter what I do. It’s also truly waterproof. I didn’t have issues with smudging or transfer, even with long wear. At the same time, it’s not overly heavy or clumpy. The slim curved brush makes it easy to get good separation and reach smaller lashes without making a mess. Removal is better than I expected for something this long-wearing. I do need to use an oil cleanser and let it sit for a bit, but it breaks down without too much effort after that. I’m planning to try a dedicated mascara remover to make it even easier. I don’t wear makeup every day, but when I want my lashes to actually look long and lifted, this is the one I use. If you have straight lashes that refuse to hold a curl, this is absolutely worth trying.

Finally, a Mascara That Survived My Sister's Wedding AND the Tears That Came With It!
Bought this after seeing Korean beauty raves about it. I've been wearing it daily for three weeks now, and it's been through everything - hot yoga, beach days, and my sister's outdoor wedding last weekend (85°F heat + happy tears). My lashes still looked perfect at 2am. This stuff genuinely doesn't move. I ugly-cried during the vows, danced for 4 hours straight, went swimming with it on by accident - zero smudging, zero flakes. My friend actually asked if I was wearing falsies. For $14, this performs better than my $35 Lancome and $28 Too Faced mascaras. The brush is super skinny which seemed weird at first, but it grabs every single lash including those annoying baby ones in the inner corners. Gives you that separated, fluttery look like you got a lash lift. One coat looks natural, two coats gets you noticed, three coats and it's still not clumpy. The black is TRUE black, not some wimpy gray-black. Yes, removal requires oil cleanser - but honestly, that's WHY it stays perfect all day. I learned this the hard way with micellar water (didn't work). Now I use Banila Clean It Zero, let it sit for 30 seconds, slides right off. Small price to pay for bombproof lashes. The formula is a bit wet at first - just wait about a minute before blinking hard. No weird chemical smell. I curl my lashes first because this holds curl amazingly. The silver text on the tube rubs off but who cares when the product inside is this good? This isn't dramatic volume mascara - it's better. It's "your lashes but impossibly perfect" mascara. When I want more drama, I just add another coat or layer with primer. But honestly, most days I don't even bother because this looks so good on its own. Perfect if you have oily eyelids (everything smudges on me by noon usually), wear contacts, live somewhere humid, or just want to apply your mascara once and forget about it. At $14, it's basically stealing. Already bought two backups because I'm never going back to mascaras that melt off by lunch. Will update in a couple months about formula longevity, but honestly at this price I don't even care if it dries out faster.

Great mascara
I’ve been using this mascara for a while now, and overall I’m really happy with how it performs. One of the biggest things I noticed is how much it helps my lashes look longer. Even though my lashes are naturally quite straight, this mascara does a great job of defining and extending them so they don’t look flat or short. It works especially well with a lash curler. After curling my lashes, the mascara holds the shape nicely and makes the curl look more noticeable and lifted. I like that it coats the lashes evenly without clumping too much, which helps keep them looking separated and more natural while still adding length. That said, I did notice that after a few hours, the mascara tends to fall a bit. It’s not a complete deal-breaker for me, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re looking for an all-day mascara. Overall, it’s a great mascara for length and for straight lashes, especially when paired with a lash curler. If it had better staying power, it would be perfect.

One of the best waterproof mascaras ever!
This is one of the very best mascaras I have ever tried, and as a 67 year old with a lifetime addiction to trying new makeup, I've tried hundreds of mascaras over the years. I prefer waterproof mascara, but I've tried my share of both waterproof and regular mascaras, tubing ones, too. The Clio Kill Lash formula stays in place, doesnt smudge. Keeps my lashes curled all day. Gives me great length and the brush seems to find even the tiny lashes. The brush is also easy to control, and works great on lower lashes as well as upper lashes -and it's reasonably priced, too. I had no problem at all removing this mascara, either. It comes off easily with a cotton pad and micellar water that is made for waterproof makeup. Just shake the bottle well before saturating a cotton round with the right kind of micellar water, then hold the saturated pad on your lashes for about 15 seconds, then gently wipe away the mascara. This mascara is so good, it will replace my $34 waterproof premium brand mascara that's been my favorite for a couple years. Clio, please don't ever stop making it!

As Expected
Buy it. Its a pain to get off but baby oil and have some patience. I had this stuff from Japan that hardened my lashes after I curled them, but then I couldnt add any mascara on top of the shell around my lashes. This stuff hardened just as fast after I curled and lasted all day. I wont not have this ever again lol

Lost 10+ lashes, Gained Clumpy Lashes, and Flakes everywhere
This mascara is far from clump free and flake proof. Opening: Upon opening the mascara, I liked the feel of it because it was lightweight. Taking the brush out, I noticed a bunch of fibers but ignored it since the product mentioned it had waterproof fibers. There was also a lot of mascara gel on the brush but it was fine since I brush off mascara gel back into bottles all of the time, but it was weird seeing so much on a tiny brush. Application: This is where it turns sour. I applied a light swipe of mascara and IMMEDIATELY my eyelashes clumped together. I tried wiping some off with my fingers to no avail and as soon as I blinked flakes appeared everywhere. I tried to wipe off more from my brush before I applied the next eye and still MAJOR CLUMPING!! I decided I would just live out my tumblr era for the day and see how it wore. Day Wear: It felt heavy for the first couple of hours with my top lashes and bottom ones randomly sticking together the first 20 minutes. Mind you this was only from ONE SWIPE OF MASCARA. Otherwise, the rest of the day I barely noticed it. Torture… The removal: I don’t know what they put in here but it is not meant for lashes. I go to use my makeup remover, using a hefty amount since my eyelashes were clumpy. I used not only one, not only two, not ONLY 5 cotton pads for my eyelashes but 8! Some came off but my lashes were still clumpy with some lashes falling out. I used my glycolic acid face wash, which removed some mascara, and then my salicylic acid face wash which removed some more, then I tried soap and water which didn’t do much. Most of it is gone but some is still sitting here and I’ll have to sleep in it. I lost around 10-15 eyelashes in the process of this mascara removal. Conclusion Maybe it will work for you but it did not work well at all for me. I’ll stick to my covergirl lash blast fusion mascara and hopefully grow back my eyelashes soon.

Won’t replace my current favorite mascara, hard to remove
I tried this mascara based on the reviews (Essence Lash Princess is still my favorite, IYKYK) and I wasn’t wowed by it. I will say it is nice and black. However, I don’t feel like it really lengthened my lashes, and I don’t think it holds curl better than any other mascaras I’ve tried. The other thing is it makes my lashes VERY stiff, just with one coat. So by the time I start on the second coat, I can barely get the brush through and it makes them clumpy. The other issue is it’s hard to remove. (Even with double cleansing). If you already have long lashes and want a dark mascara that doesn’t really budge, I’d give it a try. But it’s not for me.
