These are a must for multi trunk trees and bushes in the Texas heat. I have ordered 20 of them and it keeps the soil moist even when the water is out so the plant does not dry out.

Footprint is too big so it kill too much grass. Also the water drains too quickly and has to be filled up daily, which kinda defeats the purpose.

Good product. A bit of a learning curve to fill them.

Trust me: Emitters will invariably clog sooner than expected. Frustrating when it happens, since collar weighs over 160 pounds when full of water so unclogging requires lifting the collar and getting underneath. Difficult to empty of water when storing because fill port in a bad location to drain.Good concept, poor design = poor product.

These are working well for my newest shrubs and trees, which are WAY happier and healthier than when I used spot sprinklers to water them. Because the water drains over about a couple of hours or so, it allows the soil to absorb the water at the root line of the plant unlike a sprinkler.If it's in the 80's, I fill the bags a couple of times a week, otherwise it's just once a week. It does take quite awhile for them to fill but these have a wider mouth and a screw top, unlike some others I have (here's looking at you Tree Gator). Because of this I'm able to get the hose in far enough that the quick connect adapters on the hose hold it in place while I do other things in the yard.Quality seems to be fine - a friend has been using this brand for a couple of summers and hasn't had any problems with them.Btw, for those complaining about them draining too quickly, no version of these things drain for 6 hours or longer. The tree bag versions do drain slightly more slowly but they don't work well for shorter trees or for shrubs.

Good product, well made and durable. It even survived high winds in our area without moving when empty. I suggest folks to read the instructions about watering times. It is hours not days. tree should be watered a couple times a week...slowly. that is the purpose, I have seen other reviews who did not read the instructions or any literature about sapling care.

These worked well for maybe 5-10 fillings and then stopped draining. I would not recommend this item.
